Sisters

I walked down to the beach with James and we watched the waves crash gently crash against the rocks on the shore. Neither of us said a word. Until, we were interrupted by Destiny.

"Ariana. I need to speak with you." He glanced at James. "Alone."

James said he was going to tell Gabriel that Destiny had come to talk to me and took off, changing into a wolf as he ran.

We watched as he ran, then Destiny turned to me. "Why is Gabriel at the house while you're here unprotected?"

"Um..well... It's difficult to explain." I ran a hand through my hair and sighed. "Really difficult to explain."

"At least Time isn't here. He would pressure you for the details. Anyway, I have some good news and some bad news. Which would you like to know first?"

I thought about it for a moment. "Bad news first."

"Well, demons know about you. The higher status demons mostly."

I shrugged my shoulders. "I believe that the demons have been tracking my whole life. What's the good news?"

He rolled his eyes. "The good news is that Death found out that you have two sisters. Both younger than you."

I froze. "I... I have sisters?"

"Yeah, Ariana. The bad thing about that, though, is that one is a demon and the other, an angel."

"Where are they?"

"They live together in Detroit. Twins by the way. Nine year old twins."

"That's nice. Where is Time and Death?"

"They are getting the girls."

"You mean," I paused, thinking my words through. "They're kidnapping them."

He laughed. "Adopting them. The girls are orphans."

"Time and Death adopting?" I laughed at the thought of it. "What are they? A couple?"

"A married couple of three years." He roared with laughter.

I shook my head and sighed. "You're supposed to be the mature one."

"Well, I still am. And I believe that the two fates will play their parts beautifully."

"Time is going to take it to far." I rolled my blue eyes and smirked. I felt something brush my hand and I looked down. James stared up at me before barking, playfully. His pale green eyes sparkled. "What is it?" He ran around me then sat on his haunches.

"It looks like someone wants to play." Destiny smiled. "I should make sure that Death doesn't kill Time. I'll see you around." He winked, then vanished.

I looked down at the playful pup by my side. He wagged his tail. I rolled my eyes, again. "What will I do with you?"
