"Bye everyone!" Lily said, her voice echoing through the house.

"I can't take this." Ray brokenly said. "We can't let them go! If we don't stop this now, Norman and Lily are going to really die!"
"It's impossible, we can't stop it anymore." I said, making myself come to terms with how real this is. "The demons are probably already at the gate, And Mom will be watching. And those two.. they're fully prepared to die." I said, more tears slipping out of my eyes.
"Although, I'm sure they don't want to die. I'm sure they're terrified." Ray said.
I shook my head. "Then that's even more reason to stop them!" I said.
"No!" Ray said, "If we do something stupid and get caught, our plan could be leaked to the demons. That will make Norman and Lily's deaths truly meaningless. We can't do anything. We just can't."
"Damnit!" I said.

We can't... do anything. All we can do is see them off? We can't let them die in vain. It's for the sake of the others. I get it. I get it. I get it, but... I don't want to understand!! I need to grab them. If I let them go now, Norman and Lily's deaths are certain. Not dying in vain? That's not the issue! I can't let them die - Period.
"EMMA!" Lily shouted in shock.
"Norman!" I said, throwing my arms around Norman as I let my crutches go. "I'll distract Mom, please go!" I whispered in his ear.
Norman quickly pushed me to the ground, "Ow!" I groaned out.
"You idiot!" Norman yelled, "I know you're reckless but you've gone too far, Emma!"
Lily watched in shock as Mom pulled her to one side.
