Joshua Hong POV: 2 weeks later

I sat in my room, smiling that I have been a single man for over a week now and I've been trying to change my life every since I got released from jail. Y/n doesn't even come around nor text me, I guess she found out who the killer really was and didn't want to keep in contact with me. Which was fine, she tend to be a lot of times but she definitely is an irreplaceable woman. I tend to think about her and how we once were. I decided to smoke the blunt I rolled not to long ago, I smoke but still think of her. I honestly tend to hate it cause what's the point of even thinking about y/n. I did fuck up bad but so did she. My phone began to ring, I see it was on my nightstand and I dread to get up but do so. I walk over to my phone to see Atticus was calling so I answered the phone.
Atticus: I know you aren't just going to be all alone tonight, are you?
You: Uh.. no cause you are supposed to be here protecting me.
Atticus: Well yeah but don't you want to party?
You: No! I want you to protect me, you idiot!
Atticus: Well honestly I don't want to do so tonight, call Jesse or Chris!
He hung up the phone before I could even respond to him, I honestly didn't even want to call anyone cause I feel like I could protect my damn self and I became frustrated.

Your POV

You were sitting at your desk filling out paperwork to the case, you began to sigh to yourself and that's when Detective Harmony walked up to you.
Detective Harmony: Don't be too sad about it, we will get the person that is doing this! You know we will!
You: Yeah I know but there's just things that are unanswered.
Detective Harmony: Of course there is, we may never know if will get the answers but it depends what certain things you are questioning as well.
You: Yeah that make sense..
Detective Hedgewater: Yo
As he says walking up to y'all. He stops at the edge of your desk with a smile on his face.
Detective Hedgewater: I think we are getting closer to who killed these people! So the description of our suspect that broken into Joshua house to stab him isn't the same person that killed Natalia and the others.
You: So we are looking for two separate killers?!
That's when FBI Agent Brown walks up with a smile ear to ear as he must've heard what Detective Hedgewater just said.
FBI Agent Brown: That's correct detective y/n, I think I might know who stabbed Joshua, I just talk to witness and they ended up giving me the same description as the suspect in this case so may we please bring them to custody?!

etective Harmony: Not until you say who it is?!

She said sternly with a stern look, detective Hedgewater was concerned for why the hell we couldn't know about the suspect when this was our case to begin with.
FBI Agent Brown: That will ruin the fun of it all!
He say with a smile, he walks away proudly heading towards the elevator and you guys just watched him. You could see the fraustion on Detective Harmony and Hedgewater face. You look to see Chris was waiting at the elevator but looking at you.
FBI Agent Brown: oh detective!
You turn and look at him, the elevator dings and opens behind him. He was looking at you still.
FBI Agent Brown: Would you like to join me on this car ride ?
You: Yes of course
You started walking towards him, you could tell Harmony & Hedgewater weren't too happy with this but sometimes you just need to do your job. You both get on the elevator taking it to the first floor and walking proudly to the patrol car. Chris had the keys so you were stuck with riding in passenger. You get inside as he was inside the car starting the it. He puts his seatbelt on as you did too. He pulled out of the station parking lot, onto main traffic and to where the hell y'all were going.

1 hour later

The elevator dings as you guys have arrived to the top floor. The suspect was in front of you both with handcuffs on. He walks out of the elevator first with you both following behind. You see the stares coming from all around the room as you guys were walking this man to the nearest interrogation room. The room was almost silent but couldn't be cause the boss office door flew wide open. She stood in the doorway, people got back to work as she scanned the room and saw you both walking. She smiles at you, you came to having to turn so you could no longer keep eye contact with her and paid attention to putting him in the interrogation room with some help by fellow police officers. They made sure he took a seat in the chair and locked him to the table. Chris and him were making eye contact to each other but it was like a mad dog look. You made him break eye contact with him by making him leave the room. You both left the room, you walked up to your desk but get interrupted by your detective friends.
Detective Hedgewater: So that's him?
You: I guess so
Detective Harmony: Well you don't know?
Chris walks up and overheard the conversation.
FBI Agent Brown: oh I'm positive that's your man that stabbed Joshua!
Detective Hedgewater laughs and smiles.
Detective Hedgewater: That man looks harmless!
FBI Agent Brown: Harmless? He's a Mafia son
Detective Hedgewater face changed really fast. Harmony and you laughed about it. That's when she handed you the case file of Joshua stabbing.
