Your POV: 4 days later

Laying on the bed reading To Kill A  Mockingbird by Harper Lee until your phone began to ring. You look down at it to see it was Joshua calling but you ignored it. You continue reading the sentence you left on reading. Your phone began to ring again, you kept reading the book as the phone rang. You sigh to yourself as the phone still rang, making you pick up your bookmark and put it in the page you were reading. You close the book and put it on you nightstand. You grabbed your phone answering the call.
You: Hello?
Chris: Hey, you are going to need to get do here! It's pretty urgent!
You: On my way!
You hung up the phone and began to get ready. You got ready quickly, making you only dress simple but you made sure to look good. You put your hair in a messy bun. You grabbed the keys to your 1969 Mustang GT500. You walked out of your room, down the hall and to the kitchen to see Jimin eating his breakfast.
Jimin: Leaving already?
You: Yes! You know I'm going to be in once they call!
Jimin: Yeah yeah but are you really going to wear that big diamond to work?
He looked down at your hand to see you were still wearing the wedding ring. You look down at your hand wondering if you want to wear it.
Jimin: I don't understand why that man wants to be you husband! He's so pathetic.
The maid was in the kitchen washing dishes listening to Jimin talk to you like this while he's sitting eating his breakfast still. Maid Justice turned to him, they made eye contact and she began to shook her head.
Maid Justice: Leave your sister alone about her fiance! If that's the man she wanna marry let her be!
She was cleaning a dish and putting it in the dishwasher when she finished. You began to take your wedding ring off because you thought to yourself is he really who you want to marry. When you took it off, you ended up putting it in a drawer on a table close to the front door that held pictures of you, Jimin and more. You could feel stares coming from Jimin and Maid Justice.
Jimin: I know I don't have control over her marrying a man but she's my sister and all I have.
Maid Justice: Well if you care so much about her, you shouldn't make her uncomfortable to the point she takes the wedding ring off!
You: Oh no! I wasn't uncomfortable! I just didn't want to wear it for today plus the first day at work, My co worker, Detective Harmony was like "who put that big shiner on your finger" and it was kind of an awkward situation. I'm sorry but I have to get to work now! BYE!
You turn to the door and open it. You walk out the front door, closing it behind you and walking out to your driveway. You walk up to your ford mustang that was parked in the driveway. You stare at the gardener. You haven't seen him before so you lowered your Versace sunglasses.
You: Who are you?!
He stopped planting a daisy in the ground, getting off his hands and knees to walk over to you.
Gardener: I'm Matthew and been hired to do your gardening!
You: Okay, enjoy gardening! I have work to get to!
You get in your car quickly, he went back to gardening in the garden and you were staring at him. You thought he was handsome. You put your car in drive and drive around your circle driveway to your straight driveway to the gates to exit the property. You obviously grew up with money. It was not hidden. You went to great schools growing up. Sometimes you wish you could marry and have children but you don't know if you really want that right now. You drive to work listening to Dark Paradise by Lana Del Rey. When you arrive to work it was 9:17 in the morning, once the elevator dings and you step out. Chris was standing there with his fists to his hips staring at you with a puzzled look.
Chris: When I tell you-
You: You aren't the boss of me!
Chris: You need to be able to be here for this damn investigation! Think about the damn wedding dates later!
He looks down at your hand to realize you weren't even wearing the wedding ring. You both were walking to your desk. You got there faster than he did.
Chris: Ah! I knew it!
You: What?
Chris: That man didn't stand a chance!
You: so what was so urgent for me to get down here?
Chris: So Joshua is in jail, he will be going to court tomorrow morning but with that being said, Mr vanguard has court tomorrow afternoon so we are needed!
You: Great! this is just great!
Chris: I think this will be good! Just can't let everyone know Joshua was your fiance!
He laughs as walks away from you. You sat down at your desk and began to get to work.
