The Next Day: Your POV

It was the afternoon, you just got finished eating lunch that your maid for you and it was break time at work. That's when your phone starts to ring, you noticed quickly it's jail call and you were quick to decline the call. You see detective Hedgewater walking up to you sitting in the break room, he looks at you and sips his coffee.
Detective Hedgewater: You okay there detective?
You: Yeah! Yeah, of course!
He gives you a stern look, you gave him an awkward smile and wish he would but that's when he walked over to the vending machine. He got money out of his pocket, began to put the money into the machine and clicked on the buttons. He glanced over to you to see you were looking at him.
Detective Hedgewater: You know Y/n I haven't seen you with that wedding ring on again, did you scare off the guy?
He bent down to get something out of the vending machine, you laugh at what he says making him look up at you after he got up from the machine. He started to head towards the door.
You: I didn't scare him away! Things just didn't work out!
Detective Hedgewater: That's okay Y/l/n someone will want you like that one day
He walked out of the room, that's when your phone began to ring and you answered it.
You: WHAT?
Chris: You know you don't have to yell at me right?
You: Damn it I thought you were someone else
Chris: Awe you and psycho not working out?
You: I don't want to talk to it, what's up?
Chris: Both men are very guilty!
You: What do you mean!
Chris: Well we got that search warrant for Kairi Cosentino and we found newspapers keeping up with Joshua Hong going to jail. Papers also about the murders and the Sunwoo stabbing. I'm starting to think this is our guy, Y/n!
You: He's locked away in his cell, hasn't said nothing but dirty looks.
Chris: Of course not! Y/n I have some things to tell you when I get there, wait for me at your desk!
He hung up the phone as you were eating a strawberry. You take your phone away from your ear, finishing up your strawberry and putting the food away in the fridge. You walked out of the break room, walking towards the your desk to be stopped by your captain and she began to walk by your side instead of having y'all stood.
Captain Crowell: Where on we with the search warrant for Kairi Cosentino home?
You: Chris, Detective Harmony and Hedgewater with SWAT team were there. They will be here shortly!
Captain Crowell: Good to hear! I noticed you haven't been wearing that big flashy diamond!
You: Yeah things just didn't work out!
You say with a smile as she walks away from you, she walked into her office as you finally got to your desk and sat down. Moments later, you could hear the elevator ding, you heard the footsteps coming quickly out from the elevator and you turn to see Chris coming to you in a hurry. He got to your desk, sat in the chair you had next to your desk and you were paying attention to him.
Chris: Y/n I don't know if you are going to be ready to hear this!
You: I'm ready!
Chris: When we search his home we found items that could make a bomb, he newspapers on when your apt was bombed-
You: Okay I understand! So he's definitely our guy!
Chris: Yes y/n but I really think you are way too choose to this!
You: Don't start with that shit!
Chris: If he is our guy, there's a possibility Joshua will be back out on the street and he has done way too much shit to walk!
You: Chris I understand you don't like Joshua but you aren't the boss of me!
That's when the door fling opens, you feel a set of eyes on you and Chris.
Captain Crowell: Is there something I need to know about?
You both turn to look at her as he began to shake his head and so did you. She stared at you both with a madness in her eyes.
Captain Crowell: Both of you in my office now
She walked inside her office, leaving the door open and Chris walked in front of you so you follow behind. Once you both got to her office, you both sat in chairs individually and were looking at her. She still had a face of concern.
Captain Crowell: What's all the arguing about?
Chris: I just think it would best if Detective Y/l/n wasn't on this case cause she's too close to it!
You: Which I disagree on!
Captain Crowell: I think both of you are too close to this case and need some time off individually. Return in 2 weeks, when you do I want to see you both right back in these chairs before I place you both on duty, understand?
You both looked at her and nodded. You hated what just happened but wasn't going to fight for something that is already done. You got up from the seat, walk out of her office and were frustrated.
