"Please...no"

Kari said quietly as silent tears fell as she collapsed to the ground not bearing to watch her boyfriend stand with no monsters on the field while Yugi ordered his monster to attack the rest of the Pharaoh's life points. Kari couldn't no longer listen to her friends telling Atem goodbye, it's like everything around her began to fade to black until a hand on her shoulder caused her to look up.

"Kari"

Atem said sadly as he got down on his knees to embrace his girlfriend one last time.

"Please don't go"

Kari cried. Atem pulled Kari away so he can look into her teary eyes.

"I wish there was another way but as of right now, I need you to be strong. Do you think you can do that for me?"

He asked. Kari sadly shook her head.

"I'm not ready to say goodbye"

She said sadly. Atem pulled Kari up to stand with him.

"I'm sorry that it has to be this way"

He said quietly to her. As everyone around them quietly cried at the couple.

"Please don't leave me, I beg of you"

She said wrapping her arms around his neck refusing to let him go. Atem embraced her harder.

"I'm sorry"

He said before slowly letting her go. Kari sadly looked at him wanting to follow but Tea held her back as he stood in front of the eye of Wdjat.

"Now that the battle ritual is complete, the Eye of Wdjat that guards the gate to the spirit world has awakened, and the spirit of the great Pharaoh, which was trapped within the Millennium Puzzle for five thousand years, is now free."

Ishizu said. The Pharaoh stands before the door.

"Tell the Eye of Wdjat your name."

Ishizu said to the Pharaoh.

"I am the son of King Aknamkanon. My name is Atem."

The Pharaoh said. The door slides open, and light shines through it onto the Pharaoh's face. Atem steps forward towards the light but stops as he turns to see Kari one last time before turning back around to continue forward.

"STOP!"

Kari cried as she struggled to pull away from Tea. Atem continues walking into the spirit world as the door behind him begins to close. Kari once again let out another scream before collapsing to the ground in despair as Tea fell with her, holding her close.

"It's going to be okay"

Tea whispered to Kari who continued to cry.

"You don't understand"

Kari said wiping away her tears as she pulled away from Tea looking at her with teary eyes.

"He's at peace, you have to understand that"

Tea tried to reason but Kari shook her head stubbornly.

"I'm pregnant"

She cried.

"What?!"

Everyone yelled in shock before quickly all eyes went to Marik and Ishizu.

"We can't reverse what has been done"

Marik said sheepishly.

"Marik is right. I am very sorry Kari but if only you would have spoken up sooner then maybe things would have been different"

Ishizu said

"No"

Kari said before standing up on her feet to face everyone.

"It wouldn't make a difference"

She said quietly as she wiped away her tears.

"He set out to do what needed to be done and if I stood in his way then that would have been very selfish of me"

"But what about the baby?"

Tea asked.

"Then I'll just abort it"

Kari said in defeat.

"No"

Said a voice causing all eyes to go to Yugi.

"I want to be there to help you raise the baby"

"What?"

Kari asked in shock.

"You have a piece of my best friend inside you and for that I would always want to cherish. So will you let me?"

He asked

"Me too"

Joey said finally speaking up

"Make that three"

Tristan said.

"I guess you'll have everyone's support on this"

Tea said with a smile. Kari smiled in gratitude at all her friends wanting to pitch in.

"You have no idea how much this means to me"

She said happily.

"Come on, let's get out of here"

Joey said proudly.
