"It feels good catching up with you guys like this," I smiled sipping my coffee. Helena and Sy both nodded, "It does, we haven't seen each other in almost a year," Helena spoke.

"Speaking of which, what made you decide to visit?"

Shit, I can't tell them I'm here because of Enzo.

"The twins are on break from school and I didn't want them to spend their time at home," I replied, letting out a sigh. I hate lying.

"Why do you keep checking your phone?" Helena asked, watching as I took my phone out for the fifth time since we've been here.

"Im checking on the twins," I replied, sending Enzo another text, when I woke up he and the twins were gone and I was left with a note telling me where they went and a number to text if I got worried. Maybe I'm overdoing it but I still don't fully trust Enzo.

"For the fifth time in thirty minutes?" Sy intervened, "And I thought Lena was a helicopter mom," she joked.

I sat my phone down and sighed, "Okay, I won't check my phone anymore, they'll be fine,"

"Who'll be fine," A familiar voice filled my ears causing me to whip around and see Giovanni, Alessandro, and Rocco.

"Catherines kids!" Sy shouted, scooting in her seat so Aless and Rocco could sit beside her while Gio took the spot beside me.

"You have kids?" Rocco shouted.

Everyone at the table looked at him, "Where have you been idiot?" Gio asked.

"Even I knew she had kids," Aless added, before making a confused face, "Wait...Kids? I only knew of the one. When'd you have another?"

"They're twins, a boy and a girl," I replied, causing him to nod in response.

"Enough of that, I didn't invite you guys out to discuss how many kids Cath has," Sy spoke.

"I invited you guys so we could go clubbing!" She smiled.

"Clubbing, at 4pm on a Thursday? I'll pass," I said, causing everyone except for Gio to groan.

"Im with Catherine on this, theres no way I'm going to the club today," he spoke.

The bright lights practically consumed me while I danced to the rhythm of the drowned out song that played in the background. I think I'm on my seventh drink and now everything's starting to double.

"My head," I muttered to myself making my way through the crowd and towards the bar, where Gio was standing. Has he always been this handsome?

I reached the bar and the empty seat next to Gio, "Could I get another vodka shot!" I yelled, causing the bartender to nod.

"Tired of dancing?" Gio spoke.

"I'm taking a small break," I teased, downing the shot of vodka. When I placed the shot glass down, the song on the stereo changed.

"I love this song, Gio!" I yelled, grabbing his hand and leading him onto the dance floor.

"What are you doing?" He yelled after me.

I turned around and pulled him closer to me, to the point I could hear his heart beating, despite how loud the music was, "Dance with me," I muttered, grabbing his hands and placing them in my hip.

Why is it so hot right now?

It was almost like he felt it too because without wasting another second, he pressed his lips onto mine, pulling me into a deep kiss.

This is bad.

Im not sure how but the two of us ended up in a closet half naked, our lips still connected. I ran my hands on the buttons of Giovanni's shirt, undoing them one by one, finally pulling away from the kiss.

"Are you sure," he asked, gripping onto my chin forcing our eyes to lock.

"Im su—" I started to speak but was interrupted by the sound of my ringtone, almost instantly sobering up.

Shit...

I immediately pulled away from Giovanni and grabbed my purse rummaging through it and grabbing my phone. Enzo!

"Hi, is something wrong?" I asked and was met with the sound of Carlos crying on the other side.

"Carlos, whats wrong?! Are you hurt?"

He was sobbing so hard I could make out what he was saying, "I'll be there in ten, please hang on," I shouted, trying my hardest not to panic.

"Stay on the line."

"Shit!" I shouted, noticing that the call ended. I turned to see Gio getting dressed and mentally cursed myself.

I grabbed my shirt and turned to face him, "I'm so sorry, Gio,"

"I should be the one apologizing to you," he replied. We sat in silence for a minute before he cleared his throat and spoke once more, "I'll find you a cab okay."

I nodded in response and followed him out the closet and outside of the club where he successfully managed to get a cab for me. He slipped the driver sixty dollars then opened the back door for me and looked me in the eyes, "Im sorry about this," he muttered.

"Gio, we both played our parts in it."

"It's okay." I smiled but he didn't seem happy about the situation.

"No, Catherine, the thing is I'm—"

"Wrap it up! I've a job to do!" The cab driver shouted, interrupting Gio.

I rolled my eyes and stepped into the back of the car, "I'll see you, okay," I muttered, giving him a tight lipped smile. Gio took a deep breath and closed the door, watching as the cab drove away.

Did that really just happen?

I quickly ran into the house, nearly running Luca over as I stumbled into the twins bedroom, only to see them fast asleep while Enzo watched them.

They're okay.

I let out sigh of relief, drawing Enzos attention towards me making him get out from his seat and walk towards me, "They're okay?" I whispered.

"Carlos was just a little upset that he didn't get to see you before going to bed, thats all," he replied.

I held back my tears as I nodded. I'm a terrible mom. I was getting drunk and making out with a guy while my kids needed me. Enzo was there when I wasn't.

"Hey, they're fine," Enzo reassured, wiping the stray tear that rolled down my cheek.

I nodded, "I should probably get some sleep, my head is...killing me," I muttered, turning around and almost leaving the room before stopping in my tracks.

"...thank you for taking care of them Enzo, I really appreciate it."

"You dont have to thank me for that, they're my kids too," he replied.

"Goodnight, then." I whispered, leaving the bedroom and running to mine. The second I was in my room I slammed the door and leaned against the wall.

God, help me.

"She wont be mad at us?" Carlos asked, his finger hovering over the call button.

I looked at him and smiled, "I'll make sure she knows it's a prank," I replied, causing him to smile and click the button. Catherine picked up the second ring and when Carlos heard her voice he began fake crying.

"Mom, I—" he started but didn't finish his sentence, instead he started wailing. I could hear Catherine panicking over the line and begging him to stay on the phone before Carlos hung up. The second he made sure the call ended he bursted into laughter and fist bumped me.
