Chapter eight

Recap:

Felix began to think about Lily again, he didn't know why she came to mind for a wife, but he did rather like the idea... she would be gorgeous in a wedding dress... and he wouldn't mind waking up with her at his side...

No. He wouldn't do this. In his 28 years of life, he never had feelings like these for anyone, he needed to stop it. But he wasn't sure how. Not like there's a book out there, ' how to stop yourself for falling for your business partners daughter'.

Sighing, he got up and put everything away, thoughts of Lily lingering in his mind as he went home and to bed.

It was around 2 weeks later, Lily and Felix had spoken more and more and very clearly become closer, it was often noticed that whenever you saw Lily Prodnose, you would usually see Felix Fickelgruber not long after.

Something that Mia did not fail to notice, unlike her father and Lily's father who were none the wiser, Mia often tried to get Lily away from Felix, less so due to her own opinions, but more because she knew her father and Lily's father would disapprove. But despite her attempts, Felix and Lily stayed close and as the days went on, they got even closer.

Now they were all stood in the lair, talking, well... Slugworth, Mia and Prodnose were, Felix sometimes contributed  with a hum or a nod but he wasn't truly listening.

You see, the last few weeks, Lily had begun to make Felix realize that the way Slugworth was treating Wonka was wrong. They had had a minor argument over it;

" don't you see Felix, Wonka is no threat! His chocolates are loved by many but so are yours! He seems like if he were given the chance, he could do business with you!"

' don't be preposterous! Lily, we cannot have ANY other chocolatiers here, Arthur has already made that clear!'

' and Arthur has control over you now? Felix you are your own person! Surely you can see that it is wrong to try KILL someone for starting a business? '

' I- well-'

' Felix, you were a young chocolatier once, if no one gave you a chance, you wouldn't be here now, why can't you do the same for him?'

That argument had been a week ago, and in all honesty, Felix was beginning to see your way of thinking.

" and so we shall poison his chocolate tomorrow! Before he can have his grand opening, we put these" slugworth said holding up some vials, ' in the chocolate'

' what...?' Lily muttered, finally listening. " no! Mr Slugworth! You can't...'

' Lily! Hush, let the man speak' her father insisted

'Gerald perhaps you should allow her to speak." Felix said softly, making everyone's heads snap towards Felix.

' t-thank you Felix...' Lily said softly, not expecting him to defend her, Felix nodded in response and indicated for her to continue, " surely there are other ways to get rid of Wonka, if he MUST go, why punish the public? What if someone is hospitalised?!"

' oh don't be dramatic girl, if you shall speak like a child, you'll be treat like one. Felix you aren't contributing to the conversation, take her home then come back.' Arthur said bossily, glaring at Lily, not liking being questioned.

Lily huffed and stood up, storming to the lift. Felix looked conflicted but then followed her into the lift to escort her home.

I'm so sorry this has taken so long, I've got exams atm, and other stuff going on at home. I plan on putting these two together soon cuz I hate writing slow burns that take too long lmao.

Question, not yet, but would we be wanting a spicy chapter? I'd be quite happy to write it, but would it be wanted?

Also, sorry if there are spelling mistakes, this was finished at 2am so yk...anyway.
