Recap:

Lily pulled a face, that sounded rather sickly, 1800 boxes of chocolate was a hell of a lot.

Felix came and sat next to her and raised an eyebrow, wondering why she was pulling a face.

' that's an awful lot of chocolate... I can't see this ending well for him' Lily muttered

'Come now, it will be fine, once that Wonka boy is gone, he won't need bribing anymore.' Felix smiled, confident in what he was saying.

Lily however wasn't so sure.

Small a/n I just got a really good idea from some speculation I was having about his character. So this chapter is going to be much more centered around Felix than Lily :)

•••

It was a few days after Lily's conversation with Felix, and he couldn't stop thinking about it. Not because of what she said, but because she had almost confided in him. For the second time. No one really did that, they found him intimidating.

Felix was now in his shop, working on a fudge when Slugworth and Prodnose walked in, ' ah gentlemen' Felix greeted, putting the vial of vanilla down.

' how can I help you both?' Felix asked, a small smile on his face.

' ah Felix, me and prodnose were just discussing a few things and we realized something. Both of us have wives and children... people to take over the shops and factories... but what about you?'

' well... what about me?' Felix asked, scared as to what the two men were getting at.

' hm... how shall I word this... ' slugworth said slowly

'we think you should marry.' Prodnose cut in.

' yes thank you Gerald. But yes. We think you would benefit from a wife. It may help you with you... thing with touching as well.' Slugworth said.

Felix frowned, what was it with these two and relationships. Also just because he wasn't a fan of touching... well anyone, that didn't change anything about him.

' uhm... well, I don't think a wife will help run a business' he said, although when the idea was brought up, the image of Lily in a wedding dress popped into his mind, he shook his head subtly, trying to get rid of that image. He didn't feel like that for her and even if he did... she wouldn't feel the same.

' perhaps not. But a child would. Felix you'll grow old eventually, who will take over?' Slugworth asked.

' whoever I decide I want to will.' Felix said, ' right as delightful as this discussion is, I have work to do. And I'm sure you do too gentlemen.' He said swiftly, glaring at the pair.

' look Felix think about it.'

' perhaps you two should think about getting your nose out of other people's business Gerald. Arthur.' He said before turning back to the fudge, ignoring them until the pair left with a sigh.

Putting down the ingredients, Felix walked over to the chair in the room he was in and sat down, putting his head in his hands with an annoyed groan.

He was so tired, it was late, and what right did they have to come into HIS shop and tell him he had to marry.

He knew they were like mentors to him, but they were overstepping massively. He grit his teeth angrily, why did they have to be so bloody controlling.

Felix began to think about Lily again, he didn't know why she came to mind for a wife, but he did rather like the idea... she would be gorgeous in a wedding dress... and he wouldn't mind waking up with her at his side...

No. He wouldn't do this. In his 28 years of life, he never had feelings like these for anyone, he needed to stop it. But he wasn't sure how. Not like there's a book out there, ' how to stop yourself for falling for your business partners daughter'.

Sighing, he got up and put everything away, thoughts of Lily lingering in his mind as he went home and to bed.

HEYY

So I really like the idea that Slugworth and Prodnose would be more mentor like to Felix, and they'd definitely get into his personal life a lot.

I also in upcoming chapters, want to expand on why he hates the poor and maybe Lily could help him realize they're not so bad ( we don't want him thrown in jail at the end let's be honest).

He's definitely a germaphobe, maybe that fuels his hatred especially for the homeless.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this!
Have a good day
