Chapter five

Recap:

Felix nodded softly, ' I don't agree with whoring people out for people's own benefit.'

Lily raised an eyebrow, this surprised her, she had watched for years, every time Slugworth had an idea, Felix agreed...but now...

Now was different.

The two walked back into the living room, Mia raised an eyebrow at Lily, seeing them walking in at the same time but Lily didn't even look at Mia.

' gentlemen, I wouldn't normally argue with you both, however I don't think this... plan is a good one. I mean, what if the wonka boy corrupts her or uses his chocolate to make her sick' Felix insisted, standing in front of the two men.

' come now Felix, he couldn't-' slugworth tried to say.

' don't. Arthur, you saw what happened out there the other day. Who knows what else he can do!' Felix insisted, ' he could make her ill... what if it gets back to the chocolates. We would be run into the ground. Never sell chocolate again. I for one am not willing to risk that.' Felix played it off well, he thought. He couldn't have anyone thinking he cared what happened to Lily, that would cause all sorts of complications.

The two men seemed to take this on board, nodding, ' I-' slugworth sighed, ' you could be right I suppose... I... I cannot risk that either...'

' yes.. and I wasn't keen on Lily being thrown to the wolves e-' prodnose started, atttempting to make it seem like he hadn't wanted to send Lily away.

'Don't. Just don't father.' Lily glared at her father, Arthur and then Mia. ' you all wanted to... whore me out to the man. What would you have me in a slutty little outfit too?' Lily hissed before storming out, going to her room with a slam of the door.

Mia stared at Felix for a second, as if trying to work out a complicated riddle before looking at her father who was standing up, ' I suppose... well done Felix, you possibly just saved our businesses.' Arthur said patting the man on the shoulder. Prodnose smiled greatfully at the man before rushing out to try apologize to Lily, but Mia sighed, realizing her plan could have risked everything. She only wanted to see her best friend happy, not focusing on Felix.

Mia bit her lip  before walking through the house to find her best friend. She got to Lilys room and knocked on the door, ' Lils? Can I come in? Please?'

' NO. GET LOST.' Lily shouted through the door.

' look Lily please! Let me in! I'm sorry I- I thought I was d-'

Suddenly the door slammed open, ' what? Doing the right thing? YOU TRIED TO GET ME TO DATE THAT BLOODY WEIRDO!'
Sorry Willy, love ya.

' yes! I- I know I'm sorry I just... I wanted to distract you from Felix i- it was stupid I'm sorry... please don't hate me' Mia said softly, Lily sighed

' I don't hate you... of course I don't I just- I can't believe you did it... what if Felix hadn't disagreed?'

'I- I don't know I'm so so sorry, please forgive me...' Mia said, giving Lily pleading eyes.

Lily thought about it for a moment before nodding, ' fine... but you have to promise never to interfere like that again... ... and I want a box of those crunchy chocolates you made.'

'Deal' Mia laughed before pulling Lily into a hug.
