CHAPTER 22

I woke up this morning, not wanting to get up from bed, but the idea of spending more time with Sebastian gave me just the right amount of motivation. I got out of bed and slouched to the bathroom to get ready for school.

After I finished getting ready, I began walking to school, texting Sebastian the whole way. Once I got to the classroom I took a look around before letting out a sigh, relieved Callie wasn't here yet. Then I sat in my seat and laid my head down on the desk.

A few minutes later I felt someone walk past me and I knew it was Sebastian. I looked up and smiled at the sight of him. Soon class started and Callie was nowhere to be seen; until the teacher made an announcement. "Students, I've just been informed that your classmate Callie will no longer be with us, it seems she has moved schools."

I lifted my head from the desk and felt a sense of relief but also confusion. Why had she left so suddenly? And so fast? It was weird but I shrugged it off, this is a good thing. I was happy about this and I wondered how Sebastian felt too. Maybe he'd be happy as well.

A little while later, school had ended and me and Sebastian started walking towards my house. He held my hand a bit tighter than usual and I smiled to myself at his overprotectiveness. It was a little cold outside, so I huddled up closer to him and linked my arm with his.

"Sebastian?" He looked down at me. "What do you think about...uh, Callie leaving?" He took a few seconds to think before answering. "I think it's great. She belongs in hell anyway." I gave him a weird look but he didn't seem to notice, It's a weird answer but I guess it makes sense.

"Sebastian, do you wanna stay over this weekend?" I offered with a small smile. "Sure." He answers very easily and I giggled lightly; the giggle I haven't heard since Callie had gotten here. Sebastian smiled at it and we continued our walk.

Soon we got to my house and he dropped me off there before leaving. I sighed as I watched him leave, already sad that he was gone. Then I went inside and to my room where Goober was laying on my bed. I smiled at the cute cat, even if he would never smile back.

"Goober!" I dived for him, wrapping him in my arms and holding him close. "Goober, Sebastians coming over this weekend! Aren't you excited?" I asked him and he meows loudly before jumping away from my grasp. I giggled at him before sitting down to take off my shoes then my jacket.

Then, I spent the rest of my day thinking about Sebastian, with the occasional conversation with my mom or Goober. And later on, I got ready for bed, putting on my pajamas, eating dinner, brushing my teeth, thinking about Sebastian, all before ending my day with a goodnight text to Sebastian.
