"Do you wanna try some of my ice cream?" Valerie asks me with that angelic smile of hers.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah-! Of course you can have some-" she offers me her mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Valerie's eyes look beautiful in the light, regardless her eyes look beautiful in any angle.

I have a taste of her ice cream and mumble "it tastes like toothpaste.."

"Hey! Don't say that-!" Valerie's smile widened and a laugh slips out of her lips.

I love it when that happens.

"Why can't I?" I question back

"Because- it's not similar at all.." she turns away and continues to eat her ice cream.

Cute.

I never really liked ice cream, it was too sweet for me.

The only reason that I went out for ice cream is because of her.

We were sat down on a bench, beside each other watching the sunset.

I couldn't stop staring at her.

"The view looks beautiful." Valerie spoke up as she looked at the sunset infront of her.

"Yes, the view does look beautiful." I say as my eyes are only set on her.

"If the view is so beautiful then stop looking at me-! Luca." She calls me by a nickname?

Luca?

Really?

My eyebrows slightly furrow. "What did you just call me?"

"Why? Let me guess.. you like the name I gave you?"

I scoff. "It sounds childish."

"Don't say that! I think it's cute!"

I think you're cute.

I shake my head and offer her my barely touched coffee ice cream. "Do you want to have the rest?"

"You barely ate any, but ofcourse I'll have the rest-!" she exclaims her lips curving upwards, stretching from ear to ear.

Her smile was contagious.

But I did not let a smile appear on my face, even though I really wanted to.

I turn away and watch as the sun slowly began to set, painting the sky in a warm, orange hue. A few clouds scattered across the sky, a light breeze wafted through the air.

I wish this moment didn't end.

As the darkness settled and the night sky adorned itself with stars, Valerie had to get back to her apartment. The dimly lit streets had soft streetlights along the sides casting a warm glow.
