CHAPTER VI: Busted
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*Sora woke up in her room, finding the whole situation she had been in just a dream. But deep down she knew everything was real, she just needed to find Yuji for her to believe.
The Geto woman was searching for the vessel of Sukuna around the whole school—nothing, making her suspicions even higher.
As the night fell and everyone was asleep, Sora sneaked in Itadori's room, breaking the handle of the doors. The first thing that made her full of shock and embarrassment was the giant poster of a woman in a bikini beside Yuji's bed, but she decided to ignore it. Yuji at last was still a normal teenage boy with hormones fuming in him.
Sora crouched down to the floor, running her fingers through the dust on the floor. No one has been in this room for a while, which means Yuji is somewhere else. The sorceress placed her palm onto the floor, focusing her cursed energy and searched for the most powerful ones—Sukuna's and Gojo's. Sora kept her eyes shut and focused as multiple scenes of every sorcerer in the building flashed through her mind—that was until she finally spotted Gojo leaving a hidden room down in the basement.
Sora opened her eyes and stood up, "Gotcha." She said with a smirk and rubbed her fingers together before leaving the room.
The sorceress waited for Satoru to return to his office before going down to the basement. She ran her finger tips against the walls, her eyes rested until she stopped. Feeling Sukuna's energy, she placed both of her fingers on the wall and slid one of her hand downwards, to the hidden door handle. With a proud smirk, the girl opened the doors of the hidden room- her ears filled with multiple chatters coming from the television in front.
Sora shut the doors carefully and stepped over to the couch. She wasn't surprised, no, she was rather proud of herself for accomplishing such cursed techniques into finding Yuji who was peacefully sleeping with the cursed puppet in his embrace. "So, this is where he has been keeping you, huh?" Sora whispered to herself and walked around the room, taking in the dark details of it and the empty cans of soda left to lay on the floor beside multiple snacks.
Sora crouched down in front of the couch, admiring Yuji's peaceful features. Having his head on his arm and another around the cursed puppet, his mouth lightly opened and small snores escaping him. The girl lifted her hand and slowly placed it on Yuji's face—moving pieces of his pink strand, that had fell on his face away. "Away from me."
As she kept looking at Yuji and running her knuckles against his soft skin, she never would find herself to become so protective of him. Was it because of the curses they are vessels to? Or was it because they were complete opposites? Sora couldn't find the solution of it all for her to become so protective of the boy and his life. One day, she hasn't cared less for him and the other...hearing about his death was like a stab to the heart. But what did Yuji had to accomplish with Sukuna for him to be returned to the land of living? A deal?
Sora lifted the blanket over his shoulder as Yuji snuggled into it and licked his dry lips in respond. She stood up and sat opposite of the couch, on one of the arm chairs.
"Since when do you care about brats?" Urugus spoke in their mind. Sora rested her elbow on the arm-chair and placed her head in her hand, "I don't know...Megumi was a brat, but I still care for him." Sora mumbled to herself and slowly drifted to sleep as Urugus went quiet.
The next day, Yuji woke up early and stretched himself only to receive a hit by the cursed puppet before it jumped off the couch. As Itadori rubbed his cheek by the sudden hit, he followed the cursed puppet with his glance only for it to jump into someone's lap.
"Good morning, Itadori-kun." Sora spoke which resulted Itadori to jump and fall off the couch. The girl's eyes slightly widen as she hadn't expected this reaction. Yuji was quick to regain his posture as he stood up, "H-How..?" He began to question with an awkward and slightly frightened laugh,
"How did I find you? Or how did I remember? Well, Sukuna's cursed energy is pretty easy to feel." Sora spoke as she stood up from the chair with the puppet in her arm, petting its head. "And well, let's just say that Satoru and Ieiri-sama weren't thinking with giving me the medicine. If you were 'not dead' , I could find you sleeping beside that large poster in your room, correct?"
Yuji felt his body heating at the thought that she had seen the giant poster of Jennifer Lawrence in his room. He let out a hum with a nod, a tear of sweat sliding down his forehead. "I see Satoru underestimated me..once again." Sora spoke with a chuckle and a shook of her head which was like a melody for Yuji's ears.
Itadori took a giant breath, "I'm so sorry for keeping the mission with the special grade curse and my fight with Fushiguro and Sukuna ripping out my heart a secret from you. And for hiding from you, which now seems a terrible idea to do so, so I will fully understand if you wish to hit me right now!" He stated quickly which left the sorceress' eyes wide.
"Why would I want to hurt you?" Was the first thing she questioned with her head slightly tilted to the side in confusion. Yuji swallowed his saliva by her sudden question, "I-I don't know. Because... I lied?"
Sora stepped over to the pink haired and held the cursed puppet tightly for it not to hit Yuji once again, "Trust me, I'll get plenty of times to hit you."
She gave him a small punch in the shoulder which wasn't so small for Yuji as he winced and let out a laughter of pain.
"Wakey, Wa—! key.." Their sensei's voice filled the room, but it lowered at the sight of Sora lifting her eyebrow at him. Gojo let out a an awkward laugh and tried to sneak out of the room, only for Sora to position the cursed puppet and throw it into her guardian as Satoru had received a strong punch from it. Yuji bursted in laughter at his whining sensei as Sora stood proudly beside him, holding in a smile.
