CHAPTER XIV: the past
11 years ago...
During a mission of his own, Suguru exorcises a curse disturbing a village only for its misdeeds to be blamed on two young sorcerers.
"What is this?" He questions, stepping to the cage, noticing the two young girls beaten and locked inside.
"These three are responsible for the latest incident, right?" The man behind Suguru stated. Three?
Geto was confused by the man's statement, "o-onii-san." His eyes widen at the familiar voice of his younger sister who was curled up in the corner of the cage with a curse surrounding himself over her body—protecting Sora.
"No, they're not." Suguru states. He knew Sora was filled with cursed energy, but all this time it has been mixed with someone else's. She's a vessel.
"These three are crazy, especially the black haired one!" The man shouted, accusingly pointing his finger towards Sora.
What have you got yourself into, Sora? Letting yourself be beaten and humiliated, thinking that I won't bring hell on the people that hurt you.
"They used their mysterious powers to attack the villagers." The man stated. Geto replies that he has already exterminated the cause of the incident.
"My granddaughter was nearly killed by that one, too!" The woman shouted.
"That's because she-!" One of the girls tried to speak, but was silenced by the elder woman who told her to shut up and calling the three of them monsters.
Sora crawled over with the curse still attached but his shadow stayed in the corner, " Suguru..." She whispered weakly. Her body was covered in bruises, the side of her head bleeding and the blood travelling down to her forehead. Suguru upon seeing the face of his sibling tightened his fist and turned to the two elders, "Everyone, shall we step outside for a moment?"
The two girls glance to Sora and the dark haired pulled her by her hand to them, embracing her together.

Suguru murders all the villagers, over a hundred people in an incident investigated by Jujutsu High. Suguru is expelled and sentenced to death, a report that quickly reaches Masamichi Yaga. He tries to explain everything that happened to Satoru, including that Suguru murdered his own non-sorcerer parents as well.
"I heard you the first time. What about Sora? Did he murder her, too?!" Satoru couldn't believe what bomb was being dropped on him. He can't believe any of this is happening and rejects it out of distraught. Satoru is furious and confused but Yaga can't rationalize with him and admits he doesn't know whats going on either.
˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆ Suguru finds Shoko trying to light a cigarette and they have a friendly exchange
"Oh? Who's this?" Shoko questions, noticing the little girl Suguru held in his arms as she slept on his shoulder. "My younger sister." He simply replies as Sora buries her head into the crook of his neck.
"So, you only spared her? Interesting." Shoko spoke, opening her phone and calling Gojo. After ending the call with her classmate, Suguru turns to Shoko.
"I don't want her to know of my doings. She has a talent I don't want to go to waste. Do me this one favour, and erase her memory of what I had done was for her." Suguru spoke as sleepy Sora slowly lifted her head—blinded by the sunlight. Ieiri's eyes widen upon his request and the resemblance the two have.
Shoko confusingly agreed and took the child into her arms as Sora quickly drifted back to sleep. Suguru took a one last glance at her, placing a kiss onto her small head before leaving the two alone.

"Explain yourself, Suguru."
Geto was walking around the town in the crowd of people only to hear Gojo's statement which made him stop. Suguru replies that he already heard from Shoko, so there was no need to explain it twice.
"So, you're just going to kill everyone who's not a sorcerer? even your parents?!...even Sora?" Satoru questioned.
"I can't allow my parents to be special exception. And for Sora, she's filled with cursed energy that I don't want to go to waste." Suguru replied.
He asks Satoru if he's the strongest because he's Satoru Gojo or if being the strongest makes him Satoru Gojo. Frustrated, Satoru dismisses the question and demands Suguru come to his senses.
"I've decided how I'll live my life. Now it's just matter of doing the best I can to achieve that." Suguru states and turns to walk away as Gojo gets into his fighting stance.
"If you want to kill me, then kill me. There would be a point to that...Take care of Sora, will you, Satoru?"
Satoru takes aim with his technique but he can't go through with murdering his best friend.

Gojo returns to the school and after talking to Yaga, he finds Shoko and questions where Sora is.
Ieiri leads him to her dorm room and finds the girl peacefully sleeping in her bed with a wolf plushy tucked under her arm. "I did what he asked me to. I erased her memories of the incident and her being there."
Satoru simply nods to her statement. "He said he did it for her. They harmed Sora, Satoru."
Satoru keeps his glance on the small girl, "I'll do the job he couldn't. I will protect her like she's my own, he doesn't need to worry about that."
Sora turned onto her back in a starfish position with her mouth slightly opened. "So, you didn't do it?" Ieiri questions, meaning on if he didn't kill Geto.
"I couldn't." Satoru replies with a sigh before turning and leaving.
╭──╯ . . . . . present
"Gojo-sensei? So, even sensei's sleep, huh?" Itadori questions as the three watch Gojo sleep. "Of course, he does. What kind of nonsense is that?" Nobara replies.
"Gojo-sensei!" Megumi calls and Sora leans over him on the other side of the chair, "Satoru?" She pokes his forehead as Satoru's vision clears.
"Hey, that's one of the expensive chairs, isn't it?" Nobara questions, pointing towards the chair.
Gojo stands up and Nobara immediately sits on the chair followed by Yuji's tantrum. Megumi moves Sora aside as she hasn't fully healed by the incident with Mahito. The two notice their guardian smiling,
"What are you smiling about?" They question simultaneously. "Nothing." Satoru replies, delighted and proud to see how the two have grown.
