The Goodwill Event team battle ended, not so well. Many curses invaded the school and stole cursed objects, also hurting Megumi, Sora and the rest— leaving them with injuries. Sora has suffered broken ribs as so a stab in her leg by one of the curses' branches. Thankfully, with Urugus help, her recovery will be quick.
Itadori and Nobara bursted in Sora's healing ward as the girl was getting steady on the crutch Ieiri had recommended her to wear to stabilise her balance.
"Good morning to you, too?" Sora spoke in a questioning tone and sat down on her bed. "Don't sit. You won't be healing as fast if you won't be moving." Nobara stated, placing down the cartoon box of pizza she was holding and walked over to her classmate.
"We're going to visit Fushiguro, do you want to come with?" Itadori questioned as Sora was already on her feet with Nobara's help. "Do I even have a choice?" She asked in a sigh.
"No, not really! Yuji grab the pizza." Nobara ordered and the two women walked out of the room with Yuji following. He watched carefully as Sora took a sharp breath at the every hard contact her right foot made with the floor, which worried the pink haired boy.
˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆ "When did you start getting along with that gorilla?" Nobara questions referring to Aoi. Sora sat beside Megumi who was sitting at the other edge of the bed, both of them quietly eating pizza. The black haired woman had her hair placed in a messy ponytail to keep her hair out of her food and her foot rested on Yuji's chair while he made space, moving his leg.
"Well,we get along, but like...I remember what happened, but I wasn't myself then..." Itadori replied. Nobara questioned if he was drunk, which Itadori shockingly replied with a question if she really thinks he would have time to drink in those situations.
"But I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt, Fushiguro. You're able to eat pizza now, too." Yuji spoke turning his head to the two black haired.
"Oi, don't forget about Geto, she took that stab in the leg for you!" Nobara exclaimed to the pink haired, "Which I am very grateful for! Thank you for reminding me, Kugasaki!" Itadori shouted back sarcastically.
"Please, stop talking." Sora rubbed her ear with her free hand by the sudden yells. The two apologised and continued eating their food.
Fushiguro reveals that he was able to get off easier because he was drained of cursed energy, allowing Shoko to remove the Cursed Bud. Megumi comments that Yuji has gotten stronger and claims that he'll surpass him.
"So I'm going to become strong, too. I'll surpass you in no time." Megumi states,
"You're welcome to join my trainings," Sora adds, with her mouth full of food and a shrug. Yuji in respond just chuckles, claiming that Megumi never changed.
"Don't just move forward with the conversation without me." Nobara says.
"That's my brother's friends for you."
Sora snaps her head upwards and clings onto Megumi's hand under the blanket by the sudden unknown voice that joined their conversation. She wasn't scared of Aoi, but how he began to follow Yuji which meant he followed them all, it gave her some creeps. Megumi glances worryingly down to Sora and wraps his hand around hers, giving it a light and comforting squeeze.
Upon noticing Aoi, Yuji immediately runs away from him who chases after, asking where he's going. Yuji states that his mindset wasn't normal at that time and is left unable to explain their bond.
˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆ "So anyways, a lot has happened and some people died, but how about it? Want to continue the exchange event?" Satoru questions to the Tokyo students.
"Hmm, I don't know what to say about it..." Itadori spoke unsurely,
"Obviously.."
Sora was resting on the bench when the sudden deep voice was heard once again. The teenage girl jumped out of her seat and moved carefully behind Satoru in protection. She glanced over to Yuji who was shocked at first, but then annoyed.
"We're continuing it, of course." Aoi states while Itadori moves sideways to his sensei. Sora clutched onto the fabric of his uniform on his arm and moved him beside her. The pink haired glanced down to Sora as he felt the heat risen in his cheeks, remembering of Megumi's statement the other day.
Aoi starts listing out several solid points which result in the rest of the students agreeing as well. Gojo decides to remove the individual part of the event and has Yuji pick out a team event at random, where Yuji ends up choosing baseball, much to the surprise of both principals who were trying to keep tradition.
˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆ "Are you sure you'll be able to play?" Yuji questions Sora, still unsure of how her leg was feeling. "I can tell that old hag and Yaga that you won't be able to—"
"No," Sora states, cutting off her sensei and glancing up to the two boys, "I'll play. If I don't, those Kyoto bitches will be annoying and I really, really, don't want to punch anyone today."
The two simply glance to each other shockingly, but then later agree.
The teams switch sides and Nobara steps up to bat while Mechamaru controls a pitching machine.
"Hold on!" Angry by her rival's advantage, Nobara confronts Mai.
"That's obviously a pitching machine!" She shouts to which Mai replies it's a spare Mechamaru.
"Pitching machine? I don't understand. It seems you know much about machines, are you an Otaku?" Mai replies to which Sora steps forward and in front of Nobara.
"Oh~, now, now, we don't want a problem, do we?" Mai replies with s confident grin and a challenging risen eyebrow. The two girls were at a same height level with Sora being couple of inches taller,
"Watch your words with my friends and we won't have one. You have spare Mechamaru, but what about spare Mai Zen'in?" Sora questioned with her finger on her chin and being sarcastically lost in her thoughts which angered the Second-year.
The rest of the students kept quiet by Sora's statement with Nobara smirking behind her. The Geto and Kugasaki both turn towards to their positions and the game continues.
Nobara manages to hit the ball while up to bat. Megumi sacrifices himself on a bunt so she can move up a base while Panda and Maki capitalize, helping the team appear to score three runs. However, as Momo uses her broom to catch Maki's ball
"That's cheating, you blonde little witch! Come down here so I can smack that broom far up your—" Sora shouted towards Momo, but her statement was turned into muffles by Yuji who placed his hand to cover her mouth. Honestly, if it were anyone else, they'd probably get punched in the gut, but not Itadori. Never him.
"I see she's getting along with her new classmates," Yaga comments behind on the bench,
"Especially with that Sukuna's vessel...their execution is on hold, not cancelled." Gakuganji reminded Yaga, watching Sora strike the ball with the bat, not placing her strength on her harmed leg. His eyes squint, noticing all the familiar features she has with her brother; Suguru Geto.
"You really hate them, don't you?" Yaga questions, as the older principal began stroking his long beard with a sigh. "The rules of their presence cannot be condoned. Gods know when they won't be able to control themselves."
As the baseball game comes to a close, Yuji hits a home run that helps Toge score two points. The 30th Annual Kyoto Goodwill Event finally reaches its conclusion with Tokyo High as the winner.
"I guess we will be greeting you next year!" Sora shouts towards Mai who simply scoffs and turns her head away.
