"Tam," Sophie started, even though her voice was really shaky, "what are you doing?" "FIX MY SISTER!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. At least everyone started paying attention. Keefe ran over and tackled Tam. When they were both on the ground, Keefe started punching him as hard as he could. Biana shrieked. Fitz stared blankly. Linh blew a raspberry. Sophie toke a step forward towards the fighting boys. "Tam. I'll try as hard as I can to heal Linh's mind. That's all I can offer for now. Take it or leave it." Tam scowled as he stood up. "Fine." He glanced over at the door. Practically everybody in the room noticed and looked there too. Rayni was gone. She must have left at some point during the drama. Sophie spoke up. "Well anyway guys, we should get going." "Uhhhhhh, Foster? How on earth do we get there?" asked Keefe. "Lucinda-the new councillor who helped me escape-gave me an envelope with the ingredients for a temporary leaping crystal." "But we should probably hail Forkle beforehand." pointed out Biana. Sophie sighed. "You're probably right. Just what if he doesn't let us come?" Sophie picked up her imparter before anyone could answer. "Show me Magnate Leto." she commanded. Instead of hailing him, the imparter flashed three very annoying words. Out of range. Keefe peeked over her shoulder and saw the words. "Maybe the hideout's out of range." he said optimistically. Sophie rolled her eyes. "Let's just make the crystal-Anyone know how?" Keefe smirked. "I got your back Foster. It was one of those things my mom taught me to fufil my 'legacy'." His smile turned fake. Before she could make sure he was okay, he grabbed the envelope from her pocket and shook the dust out. It pieced to the floor like diamonds, and when he added some drops from mysterious looking bottles, all the tiny shards pieced into one. Keefe picked it up casually and held it up to the light. Before he could step in with everyone, Ro knocked it out of his hand. It thankfully didn't break, it just rolled around on the floor. "WHY ON EARTH DID YOU DO THAT?!" bellowed Fitz. Keefe looked ready to do the same, but one quick glance at Sophie made him look calmer. "You forgot to take off your sparkly chokers." said Ro casually. She pulled out an especially sharp looking dagger and took off everyone's registry pendants off safely-except for Fitz. When she took Fitz's off, she left a painful looking mark. Sophie just pretended she didn't see as she picked up the temporary leaping crystal and handed it to Keefe. Then, without a second glance they all stepped into the light.
