There's Blood

Blood on my hands
My shirt
My arms
My face
My pants
Everywhere

There's Blood, Her blood, She's lying unconscious. I am shaking her, jerking her body, no response. All I see is her

BLOOD COATING HER BEDROOM FLOOR!

---------X---------

Several monitors are attached to her body, they are beeping, she is breathing, she is alive-

Shirsha is Alive!

I watch her struggle for life through the clear  glass. Her lying there unconsciously, without moving a single limb.

I look down at my hands. They are still coated with her blood. Should I wash my hands? Yes I should. But- I just can't pull myself together right now. My eyes are stuck on her fragile figure attached to different types of machines.

I felt a hand on my shoulder. Turning around I noticed it was Noor.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes- trying to be"

"Don't worry...she'll be fine"

"Noor- I don't know h-how all that happened...I- I was in the bathroom c-changing my clothes and s-she was in her b-bedroom, I heard something shattering and falling..I- I rushed outside a-and saw h-her lying u-unconscious o-on the g-ground. Her head w-was bleeding..t-there w-was blood e-everywhere. I-" I failed to continue the incident...the lump inside my throat made it seem impossible.

Noor sensed my pain and she hugged me while soothing my back

"It's okay...it wasn't your fault..it was an accident...Di got unconscious and somehow lost her balance and hit her head harshly on the door. She'll be fine"

I sigh and let go of Noor.

"I'll just go wash my hands"

Noor nodded at me and I went searching for a bathroom.

Pain

There's a throbbing pain inside my head.

Why is my head paining?

I forced my eyes open to see a faded blue ceiling. Again!

A trembling sigh left from my mouth as I realised. I am in a hospital, again. This is my third time  here.

But this time I can turn my head into whatever directions I like. Nice! I tried to look around and spot Noor standing behind the glass pane looking at me. When she noticed my eyes, her eyes jumped in excitement and she rushed inside.

"Oh my god ! Di..h-how are you? Are you o-okay? Is it paining anywhere? s-should I call the d-doctors?"

I let out a soft chuckle and reached out to hold her hand, which she gladly accepted.

"Y-you ask too many questions together! I am f-fine Noor. It's just  my head is throbbing a little bit.. but it'll fade eventually"

I squeezed her hand a little bit to assure her that I am fine. The door opened again and Ankit walked in. His eyes were sad. The dominance, arrogance and coldness was gone...it was as if he turned into someone else.

"Are y-you okay?" His voice softer and quieter.

"Y-yes I am"

Noor sensed something and thought of giving us some privacy

"You two talk I'll be back in a minute" she smiled at me and left.

Ankit came near my bed and sat on the chair placed right beside it.

"I- I am s-sorry"

My eyes quickly darted to his and was shocked to see tears in them.

"S-sorry? sorry for w-what A-ankit?"

"I am sorry because I failed to watch out for you. I shouldn't have went to the bathroom to change my clothes"

"Ankit!" I placed my hand on his ones and gently squeezed his hand "Stop blaming yourself for the things which weren't in your hands. None of it was your fault. It was written in my fate. It had to happen sooner or later. I fell unconscious and banged my head on the door. You had nothing to do with it"

My soft words calmed Ankit a little because the tension from his eyes vanished in no seconds. This Ankit was someone else. He seemed different.

"M-my mother whom you're seeing right now, Uma Roy is n-not my b-biological mother" He paused for a beat and continued

"She died. In a pool of her own blood. There was blood everywhere, just like today"

Ankit locked his eyes with mine and I tucked tighter on his hands.

"I lost her. Noor lost her. We both lost her. We were afraid You'd have the same 'Fate'. "

A single tear escaped from both his and my eyes.
