⛤ there's tears running down his cheeks and lots of bags in his hand, "i'm so sorry, my love."
⛤you look at him with tears in your eyes, before looking down at your baby
⛤ he drops his bags, slowly walking towards you, "is she," the words get stuck in his throat
⛤you nod, a smile blooming on your face as he sits down beside you, looking down at his child
⛤ "she looks just like you," he breathes out, his hand trembling as he slowly caresses her face

⛤you're mad at him. very mad. he knew your due date and yet he'd still missed it. but the anger dissipated as the nurses gave you your baby.
⛤ looking down at your sleeping daughter, you smile, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead
⛤"y/n?" he bursts into the room, and you immediately hush him, "she's sleeping."
⛤you can see him shaking as he walks towards the two of you
⛤ "darling, i'm so sorry. i should've been here but i wasn't and i'm so sorry." you shake your head, "we can talk later. but for now," you both look down at her, smiling.
⛤ "can i?" he asks, and you nod, gently letting him hold her. you can see the immediate affection in his eyes as he looks down at her.
