I'm perfectly fine, I live on my own, I made up my mind, I'm better off bein' alone

You had just transferred to Hogwarts from Ilvermorny, and despite knowing that your pureblood status would ensure that you made friends, you were still nervous. Once you'd joined, you'd been sorted into Slytherin and made friends with Pansy Parkinson and her friends. Amongst them, was Blaise Zabini. The two of you had become fast friends (and perhaps more than friends), but you struggled to continuously remind yourself that you weren't interested in dating anyone as of now.

We met a few weeks ago, now you try on callin' me, "baby", like tryin' on clothes

It had been just over a month since you'd joined Hogwarts, and you had only gotten closer to Blaise. You walked down with Pansy and Astoria, the three of you giggling as Tori explained all about her infatuation with Draco. As the common room came into view, your eyes immediately met Blaise's, and you smiled softly at him. His replying grin had your stomach doubling over in nervousness. A blush overtook your cheeks as you remembered last night, where the two of you had come so close to kissing before Theo had rudely interrupted you.

"Good morning, Blaise." You greeted, separating from the girls as you reached his side. A small smirk curled at the corners of his lips, "Morning, baby." You snapped your gaze to his, brows raised in confusion and awe, though your eyes glimmered with amusement. "Like it?" He asked, dropping his voice so that only you could hear him. "What happened to being just friends?" You questioned, keeping your voice equally low.

"Bullshit," he stated, "we were never just friends." His fingers brushed past your arm, leaving gooseflesh in its wake.

Salute to me, I'm your American Queen, and you move to me like I'm a Motown beat

"You and your American references," Draco complained, walking at your side. "I, for one, love it. I think it's cute." Blaise defended, and you ignored the way your cheeks heated. "Of course you do, Zabini," Pansy stated, swatting his arm. His arm slipped around your waist, pulling you closer to him. You looked up to meet his eyes, and a warm feeling rushed through you. Your hand wrapped around his tie as the two of you slowed down from your friends.

"And what exactly are you doing now?" He teased, smirking knowingly. "Shut up." You muttered, before pulling him down to your height. Your lips met his, and his hands were instantly pulling you flush against his body. Blaise pulled the two of you backwards, hiding you behind a pillar. "Just friends, hm?" He whispered onto your lips, and you lightly shoved him backwards, rolling your eyes.

And we rule the kingdom inside my room

There was a knock on the door of your dorm, and you were glad that Pansy was gone for the night. You swung the door open, and found Blaise waiting patiently for you. "Come on in," you said, moving aside to let him into your room. He waved his hand, and a basket of food appeared on your bed, a proud smile adorning his lips. "What have I gotten myself into?" You joked, shaking your head as you sat down on your bed, inspecting the basket.

"Is there a reason you didn't want to have a public date?" Blaise asked, taking a seat beside you. "I don't want people meddling in this," you pointed between the two of you, "I want it to just be us in this relationship." He smiled, reaching over and pulling you onto his lap. You shrieked at the sudden movement, but you relaxed, wrapping your arms around his neck as you stared down at him. "I can get on board with that, ma," he complied, kissing your neck lightly.

"Good," you breathed out, tightening your hold on him.

'Cause all the boys and their expensive cars, with their Range Rovers and their Jaguars, never took me quite where you do

"You're British, but you've never heard of a Range Rover? Or a Jaguar?" You asked, surprised at his lack of Muggle knowledge. "I don't particularly concern myself with the lifestyles of Muggles." He replied, shrugging casually, "Besides, I'm sure a Firebolt is much better than whatever a Roller is." You laughed, "It's Rover, Blaise." He shrugged again, and you shook your head with a quiet chuckle.

And all at once, you are the one I have been waiting for, king of my heart, body and soul, ooh whoa
