'Director Nick Fury, nice meeting you Ms Orlova.'

Director.

Of course, the boss of all this.
Elena faked a smile and shook his extended hand. 'I doubt it is that nice', she looked around, seeing the brunette standing in the corner of the office with a tablet in her hand and both agents still behind her, the window on her left allowing her to look over almost the whole city of New York. It was sad that Stark Tower wasn't helping with the view.

'Call me Elena, your agents here have been doing the same since I left my house', she grinned at him, knowing that she cornered the agents. 'But what I'm I doing here?'

'Like my agents hopefully said', the one-eyed director looked over her shoulder, before continuing, 'the government had requested us to pick you up.'

'Yeah, but why?' she emphasized as she walked towards the window, wishing they weren't those few hundreds feet high. 'I am turning eighteen in a few months, what's so important to hold me here?'

With her back facing the SHIELD members, Elena looked over the city. The city she grew up in and the city she would die in. It was a strange feeling, but she just knew that she would die here. When? No idea. But where? For sure in this city. And how? She really doesn't want to think about that.

A shiver ran through her spine as she turned around, only to find everyone looking back at her, like they were waiting for her to say something. She raised her eyebrow in curiosity, 'What?'

'Because your father owned a million dollar company and he is dead now, which means it's yours. However, like you said, you're seventeen and underage so you're unable to own the company', Elena didn't believe the director one bit, the explanation one of the stupidest she ever heard. And she made that clear.

'And that's why I have to stay here? Man you're strange, you should get checked up by a doctor. Something is not right here ', she pointed at her forehead and laughed. She did not say her thoughts out loud though, not wanting the director to know she could see right through him. She turned around and headed to the exit.

However, not wanting to make the whole six hour ride back home, she knew she had to stay here for at least the night, 'I'm going to take a nap, where's my room?' she demanded, waiting for anyone to navigate her through her humongous building.

'I'll help', the male agent offered her a lopsided smile as he passed her and turned left, allowing her to follow. She rolled her eyes before doing so, but took in every detail of the rooms and halls they passed.

You never knew.
