The rain had stopped, but left a cold wind behind, so Elena shivered when she closed the door of the shop behind her.
Her coat lay on her shoulders as she crossed the busy street, when suddenly, something hit the back of her shoulder, launching her to the ground.

Her knees slid across the street and she was pretty sure they were completely open now. The holes in her pants were unrecoverable, so big were they when she took a quick look.
Elena groaned and looked over her shoulder, careful not to hurt herself.

People were screaming and running away, while others were brave enough to keep standing and filmed the whole scene. That did, however, remind her that she rather wouldn't want to be filmed.

With her face hidden behind the scarf, Elena carefully stood up. She dusted off her pants and groaned again. Her shoulder ached but she tried to ignore it, the danger was close by, she could feel the gaze of the attacker on her. She looked around, scanning every single rooftop until she saw the blonde of someone's hair creeping above it.

She quickly reached for the hidden compartment around her upper leg and took out the gun strapped in it. It was a small one, but it could hit a target that was standing at least two hundred feet away. One of the latest creations her father had made.

While not trying to think about her father now, she took a quick glance upwards. The hair was still blowing in the wind, the point of a sniper visible too.

With the gun now in her hand, Elena sprinted towards the first car she saw and hid behind it, effortlessly managing to avoid the bullets. Turning the safety off after catching her breath quickly, she broke the glass of the car and aimed.

Through the broken glass of the other window and up the building, she only needed one bullet. Although she wasn't sure whether she hit someone or not, the blonde hair had disappeared as well as the sniper and that was the most important.

She was still out of breath, so she turned around, slid down against the car and used her hands to hold her head. Her heart was beating against her chest and it hadn't been until now that it came through that someone had attacked her
