i respect men, sir.

men who go to war and die,
brave martyrs birthed by
their courageous mothers
whose tales of bravery
are brushed aside,
how the female martyrs are
almost always humiliated
with no clothes, breasts torn
or flesh branded with abuse
and corpses left wide-eyed,
(no dignity spared to her!)
i wonder if even in her death,
she panicked, trying to cover
her body or find a place to hide?
how the tales of their sons
and brothers and husbands
are sung and remembered
while women's martyrdom is
always left tongue-tied.

there must be a reason why
the wars were forged
when someone hurts a man's pride,
why did they isolate women
from their culture and
reduced her into a war bride?
they asked her not to share
the losses she endured yet
how come the abuse flamed
by the hands of men was glorified?
took from her all her freedom
while a woman holds the symbol
of the Liberty; it's liberticide.

there must've been a reason why
a man was the one to commit
the first murder of mankind;
and yet they said the first sin
was Eve's simple oversight.
the women merely ask for equality,
they don't charge you for
all the unfair treatment and crimes.
you're lucky you're still alive--
she's not blind like the woman
you had blindfolded as
the Lady of Justice to
perpetuate every injustice
against the womankind.

the crimes you executed
and still carry with no guilt
even before she's granted life--
a life that's not yours to touch
or dictate or pacify.
with a child in her womb,
you ask her to be
an unwilling accomplice
of a female infanticide.
they saw her forgiveness,
they saw how she held her hurt
and nursed her wounded smile
but they never faced her wrath
or they would've known why
instead of a woman,
a man was crucified.

so you must understand when
i get cruel and why i hurt men
with my opinions or
mean it when i say
valar morghulis;

"𝗒𝖾𝗌, 𝖺𝗅𝗅 𝗆𝖾𝗇 𝗆𝗎𝗌𝗍 𝖽𝗂𝖾."
