Caitlins apartment

The next morning, Victoria woke up with a pounding headache. She usually doesn't get that sick from drinking, just a headache and feeling queasy at times. But when she drinks too much, it's a whole different story. "Good morning sunshine," Kate said walking into the room. "Kate, are you always at Caitlin's?" Victoria asked sarcastically. "Obviously, I mean, I live up the street," Kate replied. "You should just move in," Victoria suggested, but Caitlin interrupted, walking into the room. "I don't know if I'd be able to handle that," Caitlin said, laughing. Kate jokingly put her hand over her heart. "You're so mean, Cait," she said. "You two are the cutest best friends ever like you guys have the name. That's so cute," Victoria said, pretending to start crying. Kate and Caitlin looked at each other and then at Victoria and they started laughing

After spending the final hours they have together for a few months, just sitting and talking, Caitlin starts to get quiet, Victoria notices  "Yeah Kate I'm so happy hour coming back with me- Caitlin? What's wrong" She asks. "Tor, you did something last night, and I mean it don't know if it's a big deal because as much as you try an tell me,
I don't know what's happening, but. You called Paige last night" she says as the words pour out of her mouth. Kate looked at Victoria with her jaw dropped, Victoria called them as soon as it happened, and she was scared to tell her friends back at home other than Kenna because she and Paige shared a friend group. "Is that a joke?" Victoria asks trying to stay calm. "No, I tried-"Caitlin says but is cut off by Victoria running to grab her phone and check her call log, and there it was.

She didn't have Paige's number saved but there was only one person whose number she could've called at that time. Kate and Caitlin knew it was probably really serious but they decided to not talk about and Kate went to go make sure all her stuff was packed.

IOWA CITY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

"I'm gonna miss you so much, Tor," Caitlin said as she wrapped her arms around Victoria. "We're gonna need to hang out before the season starts," Victoria replied as she laid her head on Caitlin's shoulder. "Damn, Caity, what about me?" Kate interjected, and Caitlin rolled her eyes before
walking over to her. "Oh, shut up. I'll see you in like a week," Caitlin retorted. They let go, and Kate and Victoria grabbed their bags and started walking. "Call me when you guys get home," Caitlin said as the girls walked away. They agreed and said their final goodbyes. "Love you, CC!" they yelled to Caitlin. "Love you guys," she replied as she got in the car to leave.
