As soon as they arrived back at Nika and Victoria's apartment, Kate and Victoria headed to Victoria's room. While Victoria began putting away her things, Kate settled onto the bed, and they started chatting. soon after, they got dinner and went to sleep, they were really tired from their weekend.

(time skip- few days)

Nika burst in, exclaiming, "GET READY, GUYS! GET READY!" Kate and Victoria exchanged a puzzled look (imagine this 🤨 once again). "Get ready for what?" Victoria asked, clearly confused. "We're going out, obviously," Nika replied as she rummaged through Victoria's closet for an outfit. "I'm not going out tonight. I already went out a few days ago," Victoria protested. Nika paused and then turned to the girls, saying, "Don't act like you don't want to go. Kate, back me up." "I think we should go," Kate said, leaning back with her hands behind her on the bed. Victoria was the life of the party, always social and chatty, whether she was sober or not. "Fine," she said as she walked into her bathroom.

She returned to find Nika had already chosen her outfit for her, a great one at that, which was no surprise. In Victoria's opinion, Nika always has the best taste, and she's not wrong. Nika gives amazing advice and is an excellent listener. I guess that psychology degree is really paying off.

Kate and Victoria got dressed Up(outfit next part), getting ready for an exciting night out. "Kate, you're my designated photographer tonight, remember?" Victoria playfully reminded her friend. Kate rolled her eyes with a smile, "Of course, it's no surprise," she replied, heading back into Victoria's room to slip on her shoes. Just then, Victoria's phone rang...shit

She realizes she hasn't talked to him in a few days and she said she'd hang out with him once she got home, and if she was gonna be honest. She didn't want to. She hesitantly answered

She couldn't believe she stood up for herself like that. Usually, she wouldn't but something in her was ready to fight(and we are here for it #girlboss) Nick was a good guy...to other people, their relationship was basically a publicity stunt, rumors were going around about Victoria and she couldn't take it, because honestly she wasn't sure if they were true or not. Though Victoria did really love him in the beginning, she's a teenage girl and it's her summer break, she just wants to hang out with her friends and have a good time. And he wasn't letting her have that, thoughts of breaking up hadn't crossed her mind because she is in the public eye {authors note- so college basketball is popular but only certain players are like the media sweethearts and so Victoria is throughout her whole UConn career because of her father and everyone finds it Wild} and everything she did seemed to be a problem, so a 2 and half-month relationship would not fly and she'd probably be called a whore.

Victoria hurried out of her bathroom and found Kate looking at her with concern. "Is everything alright? I heard screaming, and I was low-key scared to see what happened because when you're mad, you're scary," Kate blurted out. Victoria burst into laughter. "Yeah, I'm fine, but Nick's just being himself," she said as she grabbed her shoes.

Just then, Azzi walked in. "AZ!" Victoria exclaimed, rushing to hug her. Azzi was one of her best friends, and she had arrived to school while victoria was on vacation. She hadn't seen her since she got home because geno has all the freshman practicing constantly. Azzi was always the first person you'd call in any situation. She was selfless, friendly, and always stood her ground. Victoria admired her so much. "Oh hi, Kate!" Azzi greeted, hugging Victoria. "Hey, Azzi," Kate replied.

The three girls chatted for a bit before Azzi remembered something. "Oh, I forgot! We're leaving in like 10 minutes, but probably more like 4 now. Nika sent me," she said. "Why couldn't she get me? Is she talking to Braxton?" Victoria joked. Braxton and Nika were the definition of a situationship, constantly liking each other but having other people in their lives, kind of, Nika has had a few talking stages but she's ended it for Braxton, Braxton had a girlfriend(who he didn't even talk to) but they broke up and he went right back to Nika. It was a complicated situation, but one that always kept things interesting. They have liked each other since the beginning of this year but won't admit it.

Braxton is best friends with Makenna's boyfriend Matt, and the wbb team loves Kenna and her boyfriend Matt, they were basically a part of the team(and Matt gets them free tickets to the baseball games😉). The wbb team, the baseball team, and the mbb team(+kenna) would hang out together. The girls liked Braxton, but they thought that him getting a gf while being basically locked in with Nika was a dick move, but victoria hearing they are talking more is very exciting because victoria loves seeing her best friend happy.
