Chapter Twelve

TAYLOR'S POV:

My head hurt. Everything was dark. The only thing I'm hearing is my own heartbeats.

I try to open my eyes but when I try the light dazzle me. I feel something holding onto my hand, another hand. I feel the hand squeezing mine a little. I try to squeeze back, but I can only move a little.

I start hearing voices, people talking. I couldn't figure out what they were saying, everything I heard was blurry.

I tried to open my eyes again, fortunately there wasn't any sort of light, so I managed to open them more.

"Taylor? Sweetie can you hear me?" I couldn't figure out whose voice was this, but I knew it was familiar.

I tried to focus my eyes on the figure that was looking down at me. She had a familiar red hair, but that's all I could see.

Suddenly someone flashed my eyes, one at a time "everything looks good, let me just check her IV to make sure everything's ok" another voice said, one that belongs to a man.

"Thanks Bruce" at that moment I was able to open my eyes more and focus on the woman in front of me. I tried to speak but my mouth was dry and my throat hurt.

"Give her some water!" I heard footsteps coming my way then someone put a straw in my mouth pulling my head up a bit.

"Here, drink this, you'll feel better" the voice said as I tried to slowly drink without spilling anything.

"Nat?" I whispered, trying to understand who's in front of me. "Yes, yes sweetie it's me, I'm here, I'm not gonna leave you I promise" she held my hand as I opened my eyes more.

I looked around, I was at the med bay, on one of the beds in the corner of the room. I saw Natasha holding my hand, a few tears leaving her eyes, and Wanda standing on my other side, her eyes also quite red and watery.

I also saw Tony standing near Wanda with the water glass in his hand, and Bruce standing above me filling up the IV that was connected to me.

I tried to get up and get it out of me but Nat and Wanda quickly stopped me "it's ok honey it's us, don't get up just yet you'll hurt yourself" Wanda said pushing me back to the bed.

"What happened?" I asked as I couldn't remember much since the men took me away.

"HYDRA took you, they brainwashed you so you'll work for them, luckily we were able to get you away from them" Nat explained to me.

"But I didn't hurt anyone, right?" I asked, afraid that if I did they'll send me back to HYDRA.

"Don't worry sweetie you didn't do anything, we got you here just in time and Wanda managed to stop the mind control they had on you" Wanda smiled at Nat's words.

"Ok, that's good, when can I get out of here? I want to go back to my room" I said looking at them for their answer.

"I'm sorry Taylor you're gonna have to stay here at least for the next few days, I gotta keep an eye on you, we can't know what HYDRA could've done to you while you were with them" this time Bruce was talking.

"Oh, ok" I said quietly, sighing at the thought of sleeping in this uncomfortable bed in this scary room with all the needles and stuff.
