Claunt
Why do humans complicate themselves way too much when the devil can simply give them what they want?
They'd rather prefer struggling to enjoy what has been created for them and asked to take dominion of.
This is why we are here to help them get it faster; the money, fame, properties and even babies. All they have to do is come to us and ignore those empty words from that ancient book they call 'bible.'
Last time I checked, the bible cannot pay medical bills...can it?
I invite Akosua into my consulting room, taking a good look at this beautiful lady sitting in front of me and I'm utterly depressed.
Look, she paying dearly for the mistakes of her parents and grandfather then someone up there maneuver ways to walk her into that accursed church building, feeding her with complete gibberish.
Do people really think God is love? They should wait and see the kind of fire He has prepared for them.
So I'm here to actually save her father technically...because, she can't afford his medical bills and she's already looking drained, miserably.
All I need is her beautiful soul and body to be mine and she wouldn't lack for anything in this world.
But I'll take it slow and set the baits...
"Akosua, like I said earlier, his condition is critical but all is not lost." I tell her
"Can I see him now?" She responds absentmindedly
"You will when we're done with this. As he's in coma, we can't guarantee when he'll wake up. It's all in the hands of the de....time," I quickly correct myself from saying devil
For some reasons, these people hate my master's name for nothing.
But he's the nice guy here...if you look well enough, the devil isn't much different from God.
"I know, but I'm sorry I may not be able to afford the bills and—" cutting her off
"This is why I want to speak to you. I may be aware of your little situation"
"You do? How?"
"Let's just say I'm a good judge of character and I overheard your conversation with your mother" I try to convince her
She starts crying
As an angel of darkness, we show no pity or remorse for people's tears. We love to see pain in the eyes of mankind since we're already denounced and dejected by the one up there, we'll hate what He has created...and whatever He represents.
But that doesn't mean we can't pretend. We are perfect actors and actresses.
Tears cannot solve this situation... Her father is being punished and her mother is battling depression.
Since I need her, I'll have to comfort her.
I walk up to her sitting position and tap her back, allowing those tears flow freely
"Doctor, please help my father... I don't know what to do, I'm stranded and I have no one else to fall on...please!" She says through her tears and I offer her some tissue to wipe them
Looking up, I say to the one up there, I thought you said you're always with her? Tsk and we are the liars
She kneels down crouching onto my legs
A position I love so much... she is worshipping me unbeknownst to her
Smiling gleefully but doing so well to keep it at bay
"Ooh no. Come Akosua, you don't need to kneel down for me"
Oh yes you do.
I slowly pull her back up unwillingly.
"My hospital shall surely take care of all your father's bills so you wouldn't need to make any payment whatsoever" I give her the answer her soul desperately needs.
"My God!" She exclaims
Should rather be 'My devil.'
I'll be using her father's life as my leverage and collateral which is something she doesn't know for now
"Dr. Claunt, I- I don't know what to say. I don't know how I am going to repay you?"
Obviously, you can't pay me with money, I'll need something more valuable... how about you giving me your precious innocent soul and lovely body instead? I cork an eyebrow
"The medical expenses should be around 20,000usd or more depending on the severity of the process, "I mention for her awareness, "of which I'll be covering for you"
Kneeling down again," I'm so grateful for your immense assistance Doctor. I'd have to sell my body parts to get such amount. You're far too kind" she says
That's why you have to come to the realization that I'll need your body too. Sell them all to me.
Exchange is no robbery but this is what most people fail to acknowledge when we do something for them.
"Stand up Akosua...money means nothing to me. Precious lives do, okay?" I say The latter in honesty with all its hidden innuendo. "Precious lives. I was drawn by your situation and saw the need to help, so I decided why not, it's in my infinite capacity."
"Thank you, thank you.. May God bless you!"
"No need to say that, my dear... I'm already blessed as you can see" I respond with a conceited smile
God bless me? Indeed. Shaking my head. Has he ever?
"If we're done can I see him please?" She asks with such eagerness, worried about her poor father.
"Certainly."
Just as she was about leaving...not so fast there "Wait" I call her to a halt
"Akosua, I would like to know more about you if you don't mind. Take my number, call me and let's schedule a meet up"
She looks at me skeptically for a short while, contemplating, "I wouldn't mind Doctor" she hands her phone to me for my number.
Looks like this phone was 'carelessly-made-outmodely-fake'. The screen is cracked and a bit blurred.
How can one manage with such torture when you can have finer things in life with me?
She studies how I examine her phone, " Umm I've being using it for five years now." She says shyly
"Of course. I can see that"
"You can let me save your number if you find it difficult to access the screen.."
Changing her life for better has started.
"You know what Akosua, I'd like to be your friend and if you're going to be my friend, you don't deserve to hold such deteriorated items" I say and throw the phone away smashing it shattered against the wall. It falls with a loud thud.
Akosua gasps shockingly with an audible "Nooo! What have you done?"
As she bends to pick up the broken phone in her hands and shows them to me and ask her to remove her sim and memory card from it.
"This is what you deserve" I extend my hand to give her a gold edition of the latest customized iPhone that had just appeared in my hand by my power whiles she was busy picking up the pieces on the floor
"Jesus!"
Yes call him out but he can't do that for you, can he?
"Are we friends now?"
