Chase's eyes were on me. I tried to lick the icing from the side of my mouth when he grabbed my waist and kissed me with longing. I didn't move. I stood there with all the sensations running amok in my system. At first, it was a little bit rough how his lips ravaged mine but as seconds elapsed, it was becoming slow. He was savoring the moment and tasting my lips.
His hands stopped roaming at my back. Chase nibbled my lower lip. I can feel his mouth smirking while linking my hands to the back of his neck. That was the only encouragement he needed as he connected our lips for another exhilarating kiss.
The kiss we shared was breathless. Both of us disengaged to breathe. His forehead rested on mine and his breath fanning my face. Clearly, I was all crimson cheeks and eyes closed afraid of what I might see in Chase gray eyes.
"Looked at me, Myah," Chase said in a whisper. I opened my eyes and was met with his gray orbs. I tried to smile but he enveloped me in a warm embrace. Nestling my face into his chest has become a familiar behavior for me to do. "That was simply amazing."
I nodded looking up at him. He kept on bestowing kisses on my head. His hold was tight as if afraid to let go of me.
"Are you okay?" My tone was squeaky.
"I'm good. I feel so good because of you." He was smiling so genuinely, tugging my heart with it. "I'm not sorry I kissed you."
My restrained laughter got the best of me. "Are we going to do something about this?" I leaned back on the sink with hands spread at the side.
"Do you want to?" Chase countered.
"I don't know, Chase." I blurted out rapidly. "Maybe we need to get know each other first before we take our feelings a level higher."
He nodded and cornered me again. "Always the practical one." He murmured in my ears as he dipped low into my mouth and we shared another sweet long kiss.
I didn't stop him. I wanted the kiss as much as he needed to be near me. It's one way of acknowledging the fact the insatiable part for satisfaction. We kissed, tongues met and souls craved for more. I was the first one to come up for air. "They might be looking for us right now."
"Let them." Chase groaned. He was about to embrace me when the loud noise erupted by the opening of the backdoor.
Luke and Zareena came in with messy faces from the icing followed by the Marino twins and the rest.
"So you were hiding in here all the time," Randell uttered licking his fingers while his face was covered like an Indian going to war.
"And what have you done to my cake?" I asked upon seeing the indescribable after effect on the cake in Allen's hands.
I got the cake from the youngest player and settled it in the middle of the counter. I opened one of the drawers looking for a knife to slice it. "Before everybody goes off to clean the mess from your faces and bodies, take a slice of cake and eat it. This is the consequence of playing with our food. We need to consume this."
"But, bestie," Zareena tried to complain.
"Shush, Zareena!I don't want to hear buts. The cake should not go to waste." The bread knife landed in the sink as the rest of the guys took slices with bare hands and into their mouths.
I felt Chase's presence behind me. "Don't you think you're a bit harsh with them." He managed to whisper.
My brows furrowed."I don't think so."
Chase was controlling himself not to laugh watching the team eat their slices. Luke almost choke while munching and talking at the same time.
"Chase, don't try to wiggle out of this stuff," I called out to him and pointed to the last two slices left.
"Can I be excluded?I'm not a cake lover." I shook my head as picking on the smallest slice between the two."All for one.One for all." I said biting my share and the rest cheered.
"Hell yeah!"Jessie managed to shout with a fist pump in the air.
Everybody laughed. I managed to consume my part in a couple of minutes as Chase willed it in three bites.
"All right, guys! We need to clean up this party before crashing into Paul's territory downstairs." Luke encouraged.
"Xanthy and I will do the dishes." Xander volunteered.
"I don't like washing the dishes," Xanthy muttered as he punches his twin lightly on the tummy.
"You're my twin. You're stuck with me."Xander hooked his left arm on Xanthy's neck and pulled him next to the sink.
Seth, Allen, and Kian piled the chairs and placed it in one corner together with the tables. The entire audio system was untouched and still blasting Martin Garrix EDM music in the night air.
It took less than an hour to clean up the backyard. The team was lounging in the grass.
"The icing is starting to feel sticky on my face."Jessie tried to wipe his face with both hands.
"Same here."Dave and Jameson chorused in their complaints.
I searched for Chase who has been gone for quite some time. I saw him lurking in the corner of the house. Both Luke and him was on to something.
"Everybody feeling sticky?"Luke's voice echoed in the dark. Unconsciously, some of the guys replied.
"Isn't it hot too?" came Chase's voice.
"Time to cool off, Sentinels!" Both boys came out of the corner with a hose spraying everybody with water. The team was caught unaware but scrambled on their feet trying not to get wet but wasn't able to escape the water sprays.
Zareena and I weren't able to react right away. She screamed bloody murder when Luke had the hose directed at her. I ran away but felt someone's arms wrapped around my waist as cold water showered on top of my head and my back.
"Going somewhere, sunshine?"Chase teasing tone whispered in my ear.
"You're not gonna get away from this, Chase." I was able to grab the hose from his grip and aimed the spray at his figure away from me. I caught up with him when he bumped into Jameson and both tackled on the grass laughing. They just covered their faces after feeling the pressure of the water spray directed to them.
"Give me that." Zareena's demanding voice stopped me. The hose was long and already snaking its way in the backyard. I handed the tube to her and she childishly stamped her way towards Luke's direction.
Jameson stood up and joined the others. Suddenly Chase tagged my hand and had me landed on top of him on the ground.
"Are you happy?"He asked tucking the wet hair from my face to the back of my ears. Both of my hands on his chest feeling every beat of his heart.
"I am, Chase. The happiest birthday ever." He sat upright and we were on an eye to eye level. His hand moved from my cheek to the back of my neck. He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead.
I sighed and shivered at the same time from the cold night breeze and from the crazy sensation Chase was creating in me. I heard his brief intake of breath and just bestowed a kiss on the cheek.
Thank you for a wonderful night, Chase.
