At Bobbie's—Carly was pouring coffee when John came in. "Carly, why are you here? I know you blackmailed Jason about me." "Yes, I did. You broke the law when you were running Sonny's business." "So, are you going to arrest me?" Carly asked as John's cell phone rang. "I have to get this." John stepped outside, upset that Carly knew about the charges. "John," she called after him. "Yes, I helped the situation. Now we need to work on our next steps. He's done work with us," John said as he hung up and left.
At Sam's—Sam was still upset but not surprised Jason chose Carly over their son. There was a knock on the door—Elizabeth and Jake were there. "You heard?" Sam asked. "Yes, Jason just told us," Elizabeth replied. "I thought Danny and Jake could help each other with this news." "Yes, Danny's upstairs; he's upset too," Sam said. Jake went upstairs. "I'm not surprised Jason picked Carly," Elizabeth commented. "Me either, but I'm upset. If Danny doesn't want to see him anymore, he doesn't have to." "I agree. With what happened with Kristina, I think it's best if Jason isn't in Jake's life," Sam said. "I agree. How is Finn?" she asked. "Finn took Violet to Chicago to handle Gregory's estate." "Oh, I hope he comes back." "I think it's a good thing—our relationship was dying," Sam admitted. "I'm sorry." "It's okay. I'll be fine."
Danny was in his room looking at a picture of him with Jason when Jake came in. "Danny, did Elizabeth tell you about Jason?" Jake asked. "He told me. I thought he loved me." "I feel the same way. We don't need him," Danny replied.
At the police station—in Sonny's cell—Sonny was inside when Dante entered. "Dante, you have to help me. I can't go to jail," Sonny pleaded. "I've been over this case as a cop. I'm sorry, but you will probably go to jail," Dante responded. "Do you know how Kristina's doing?" Sonny asked. "She's still in the hospital and has a lot of recovery ahead." Dante shook his head. "I never wanted this to happen." Dante looked grim. "I think it's best if you take the plea deal."
