Amari's pov:

"You're finally here", Ivy squeals and pulls me into a hug as soon as I reach her and Kiela.
"Hello to you too", I chuckle as we pull apart again. I then turn towards Kiela and hug her as well.

"Took you long enough", the older girl jokes.
"Hey, it's not my fault that stupid connecting flight was delayed. Do you think I wanted to wait one and a half hours at the airport in London?", I laugh.
"Anyways, let's get you and your bags to my car", Kiela returns before she offers to take one of my two suitcases.

Together the three of us make our way out of the airport and towards the car park. After getting inside the car we drive for about 20 minutes until we reach the building of my new apartment.

"Welcome to your new home", Ivy giggles as we walk into the apartment. I follow my roommates inside and after walking through the short hallway, I'm met with a beautiful white kitchen with a kitchen island. No walls are separating the living room from the kitchen which creates a big open space. The almost floor to ceiling windows create a great lighting for the whole room. Along with everything else there's also a nice wooden dining table on one side giving eight people the chance to sit at it.

"Wow, this looks amazing", I tell the girls.
"See? I told you she'll like it", Ivy nudges Kiela before she turns back to me, "Kiela here was scared you wouldn't love it as much as we do."
"Okay, now Ivy's exaggerating", Kiela laughs, "I just hoped you will like it here."

"I mean I haven't been to my room yet, but I really like what I'm seeing so far", I assure her with a smile.
"Well let's go see your room then", Ivy says excitedly before she grabs my hand and pulls me into the direction of one of the bedrooms.

"Tada", she announces as she opens the door.
The only thing it reveals is a room with only my moving boxes on the floor.
"How are you so excited? I don't even have a bed yet", I laugh.
"Yeah, we do need to get you an air mattress to sleep on until you have a real bed", Kiela chuckles.

"True, but we planned on going out to get some groceries later anyway so we can get you a mattress on the same trip", Ivy adds as she rolls my other suitcase into the room.
"Sounds good. But for now the only thing I need is a nap", I chuckle, "I've been up since five in the morning and I wasn't able to sleep on the flight."

"You can take my bed now if you want. I doubt you want to sleep on Ivy's air mattress. Her new bed doesn't arrive until the end of the week", Kiela tells me.
"You're an angel, thank you", I reply before I follow her to her own bedroom.

Five days later:

The last few days have more or less been a blur. My room looks now even messier than when I first arrived. I do have an air mattress to sleep on for the moment but all my stuff is everywhere. One of the boxes ripped so now I have clothes all over the floor.

The only two things I have standing so far are my mirror and my desk which we assembled two days ago.
Ivy's bed also arrived yesterday and both Kiela and I have helped her build it. Or at least we tried. After an hour of trying to put everything together we accepted our defeat and Kiela called her dad who then came over and helped us finish.

Today the girls and I decided to drive to Ikea and maybe some other furniture shops to get a few items that Ivy and I need for our rooms. Ivy only needs a dresser, a night stand and a few more decor things. Since she already moved in a week before I did she got most of her furniture already. Or they're at least ordered and on their way.
