Jude's pov:

"Okay, done. Here, Ty, you're welcome", Amari says as she hands the phone back to its owner. Fortunately for me, the guys rope Tyrese into a conversation, which gives me the opportunity to speak to Amari more privately.

"Hey", I try to open up a conversation.
"Hi", she says and fakes a smile.
"So how have you been?"
"It's fine, Jude. We don't need to do this small talk stuff, you know", she tells me, "Our last so called conversation didn't really go well, so there's no need to give it another try."

Damn. When Maëlys said I really hurt her friend she wasn't joking. The tone in here voice and what she's saying makes it pretty clear she's not in the mood to have a real conversation anytime soon.

Before I can respond to her in any way she's already stepping away from me and towards her friend and boyfriend. She quickly wraps her arm around Arda's and engages into their conversation.

A few minutes later her, Tyrese and Arda say their goodbyes and take off, leaving me behind with Vini and Aurel. Just then Cama rejoines our little group.

"Okay, now that they're gone, explain yourself", Vini says directly to me, "What was all that about? Why are you so damn tense?"
"Wait, what have I missed?", Eduardo cuts in.
"Arda's new girlfriend, the one he told us about, was just here with one of her friends. And Judith here acted like a complete idiot", Aurélien explains to our friend.

"I told you to stop calling me that. God, I'll never let y'all talk to Jobe again", I groan trying to get myself out of the conversation.
"Nah-uh, you're not getting out of this by just switching the topic", Vini scolds me, "Explain, now."

All three of them now look at me, waiting for an explanation from my part.
"Okay, fine. So Amari, aka Arda's new girlfriend, I've met here before. Today was not the first time I've seen her. We've already met around christmas time last year", I start to explain.
"Okay, but I still don't understand why you looked like you just saw a ghost when Arda introduced her."

I don't really say anything in response since I would much rather bury the topic and move on. Unfortunately, my friends think otherwise.
"Looking at your face, there has to be more to the story. Just tell us already. We won't judge, you know that", Aurel says.

"That's easy for you to say, not knowing how much of an idiot I was", I mumble, but still loud enough for them to hear.
"Try us", Cama shrugs.
Taking a deep breath I mentally prepare myself to tell them the truth, more or less.

"So, I met her last year when I was visiting my brother. I only saw her for a couple hours that day and we didn't talk much, but I was attracted to her so I tried to find her on Instagram. That didn't work so a few weeks later I asked her friend Maëlys, who was just starting to date Jobe at that time, for her add. After she gave it to me I DMed Amari not much later", I begin,

"That's when we really started to have contact for the first time. We quickly got along and started texting a lot and we even had long calls and stuff. I guess you could say we had a talking stage.

"Over time I developed some feelings for her. The next time I saw her in person again was at the beginning of March. I was in Sunderland at the time and Maëlys invited Jobe and I to a party. There Amari and I saw each other again. We talked a lot that evening and I ended up asking her on a date. She said yes and a few days later we went on said date.

"However, after I got back to Madrid it started to feel kinda weird. We had less and less contact. Not long after I met Valentina. I don't know how but I developed feelings for her while the ones for Amari died down. But as I continued to get to know Val I was stupid and didn't explain anything to Amari", I lie.
