7. Usual Side of Snark

P.S. I realise that I made an error with Lori and Aris' last names, but I hope you can understand, that I forgot, and would rather just leave them as is, due to people recognising Aris' last name as Jones. Besides, I've already written it, and don't want to have to go through to change it all.

Plus, Aris' name, isn't really 'Aris', so who says that his last name is actually Jones? For all we know, it could be Whyte. Possibly. Maybe.

P.P.S Lily Collins now plays Clara, I'm telling you here, because I don't want to go through every chapter to change the casting, because Wattpad has made it casting per chapter (dumb).

The early morning sun burns down on Lori; the rays so hot, she can already feel the sweat beading along her forehead.

Lori sits up slowly, pulling the sheet up to cover her head, giving herself the smallest of shelters. Unfortunately, the heat keeps managing to seep through. She looked around, to see that she was the first awake. Standing up, Lori peers across the sleeping boys, hoping to identify which one could be Aris.

Alas, with no actual clue as to what he looks like, Lori was stuck.
"God, it's so damn hot out here," The strawberry blonde mumbles as she pulls the sheet up higher. Lori finds one of the water pouches and takes a few sips, but it would never be enough to quench her thirst.

After ten more minutes, the boys, and Clara, began to wake up, one by one. Everyone ate and packed away the food, ready to hit the road once more. As they begin to walk, Lori searches for Thomas, on hopes that he can lead her to her brother.

"Hey, Lori, how did you sleep?" Thomas asks as Lori falls into step with him.

She looks down, before answering the darker haired boy. "Uh, well, it definitely could've been better, I guess." After a moment of silence, Lori asked what she actually came over to talk about. "Sorry, Thomas, but I was just wandering if you could, you know, introduce me to Aris?"

"Of course. You keep walking, I'll go and get him, and you guys can meet. Well, reunite I guess."
Lori nods, throwing Thomas a smile, before the boy wanders.

Finally, she'll get to see her brother once more. Questions began to run through her mind; what does he look like?; Is he tall?; Do they look like each other?; And what about their father, who's their father? Hopefully he's nicer than their mother.

Less than two minutes later, Thomas returns to Lori's side, a taller boy in tow. The sun has almost reached it peak, so she is able to make out all the boy's features. He is tall, with olive skin, and dark black hair, which is slicked to his head with sweat.

The thing which hit Lori the most, is that, they look almost nothing alike. Almost. Something about his eyes reminded her of her own. Yet, her mother did not have their green eyes, which must mean they received the color from their father. Does their father resemble the boy standing before her?

"Aris?" Lori stumbles, barely able to say his name. The boy nods slowly, eyebrows creased as if confused.

Aris looked her up and down, taking in her appearance. "You must be Lori."
Since it didn't sound like a question, Lori stood silent, unsure of where to go with their short lived conversation. The few words they said probably wouldn't even be classified as a conversation anyway.

Thomas sighs, before stepping closer to us both, "Okay, let me make this simple. He's him, and she's her. Now, can you please walk and talk, so that we don't burn to a crisp, hey?"
Lori nods, before beginning to walk slowly.

Aris runs up to her side silently. They walk like this for half an hour, before Aris finally spoke.
"How did you, uh, how did you remember me?"

"Before I came into the Scorch," Lori begins. "I was kidnapped or something, and they" She freezes mid-sentence.
"Well, I don't really remember what they did. All I remember, is a woman. She said I have a brother. And she said that his name, is Aris. When I found the boys again, I asked if they knew you. And obviously, they did."
