The alarms wailed loudly all over the castle as the Royal Guards and Mages scattered all over, preparing for the incoming attack. Claire unsaheathes her sword as Princess Iris was protected by a wall of her Royal Guards.
"THE PLAINS NEAR THE ROYAL CAPITAL ARE NOW BEING OCCUPIED BY GROUPS THOUGHT TO BE THE DEVIL KING'S ARMY. KNIGHTS, PLEASE GET READY. WE IMPLORE YOU, ALL ADVANCED ADVENTURERS IN THE ROYAL CAPITAL, TO JOIN THE FIGHT AS WELL." The woman behind the speaker informed.
"Kazuma, Y/N, this is bad!" Darkness said to them both.
"Yeah. I understand." Y/N said with an impassive look.
"Nah, I don't think I will." Kazuma quickly responded with his own, the other members of his party looked right back at him as he walks away.
"What?! Why?" Aqua asks.
"She said 'advanced,' right? I can barely be considered intermediate!" Kazuma points out. "Also, this Royal Capital is full of skilled adventurers everywhere. Y/N could even count as one of them! So, bye bye! I have to take my siesta."
"Are you serious right now?!" Darkness shrieked in disbelief.
"Well," Y/N shrugged with a teasing grin, had already thought of a way to pull Kazuma back to the fray. "If you don't want to do some 'heroic'", he stressed, "-things. Then I'll take the first spot to become Iris-sama's best onii-chan."
This, ultimately, got Kazuma's attention with a tensed body. He turns around and walks back to their party with hurried steps. "I didn't say no. SO LET'S BEAT THE HELL OUT OF THOSE DEMONS!"
Y/N's grin didn't leave his face. "That's more like it."

As the sun starts to set from the distance, Kazuma and Co. joined with the knights and wizards in front of the main gates. There is at least 4 battalions of knights and 2 dozens of mages waiting for them, and lastly they were accompanied by some small groups of adventurers who obliged with the Kingdom's call.
But one obstacle causes them to stop on joining the large group outside the gates.
"Are you... Satou Kazuma?" The Belzerg Adventurer's Guild secretary double looked at him and to his adventurer's card.
