YVONNE LOCKHART
I close my bedroom door behind me and lock it before slipping my shoes off and going to the middle of the room to pace.
Too many things happened in just a few hours. Too many.
I glance over at the window, missing home. The moon was starting its way to set and to be replaced by the sun.
"My God..." I mutter out, stressed.
I didn't know what to do now. Ella completely-
What even happened to her? All the descriptions the coven members gave to me started mushing together in my head and it made no sense. It was also starting to give me a headache.
I press my fingers to my temples. Get your thoughts organized, Yvonne.
I came here, got escorted to my room, attented dinner with Ella, she lost control?- Focus.
I passed out, woke up, William gave me a tour, we ended up in the library, I discovered the book, Ella was there,-
...Ella was there? How did she even get there?
I shuffle through my memory, trying to think of why she was there.
Was it because I passed out? Did she need information on why it went wrong?
That would make sense why she told William to bring me to my room to rest.
I think harder.
The dirt on her dress.
She did mention that she went out for a walk but it felt odd. If I remember correctly, the garden had cobblestone pathways with some dirt. And taking note that she is a queen, she should have more than enough experience being careful to not mess her dress. She couldn't have taken a mere 'walk'.
Hunting probably? But why would she go out when she just drank my blood? That did not make sense.
"It has never happened before. All of the previous people before you have taken the exact same kind of food, at the same hour, and nothing bad occured then."
I think back to William's words.
Was it because of my curse?
I re-organize my thoughts.
So Ella was there because she went outside while I was resting and during the tour, me and William managed to run into her trip to the library. She was there because she needed answers.
I continue, one of my questions answered.
William was dismissed, Leaving me and Ella alone. We talked about her backstory before she suddenly lost it?
I kept pacing the room, digging deep.
I rambled on why the book was important. Then she told me to leave.
No, that wasn't it.
I rambled and then...
I grabbed her hands.
...I grabbed her hands. Then she paused. Her demeanor changed. She gripped my hands harder and she started to tremble. Then she pushed me away and told me to leave.
Now, that didn't make sense either.
I think back harder to the dinner.
I remember her hand graze my neck before she counted down. I also vaguely remember her holding my shoulders while I was dizzy. So why did she suddenly lose her control over simple hand contact?
