Ch.27 – A Nightmare

Isabella looked at her laptop on the table while she sat on Danial's lap, who rubbed her belly. It was late at night, at 11:12 PM, yet the two wanted to watch more TV shows on the computer. Aliens were the last things the two had on their mind.

After deciding to upload the videos to the internet, Isabella received a hell ton of attention. So much so that even reporters ran up to try to interview her. Luckily, the government never got involved, and the couple knew they shouldn't interact with the aliens, as anything could happen.

When those videos went up, more people became sympathetic to the aliens. After all, Morado's talking ended up making people's hearts melt. Aside from the B-80G hanging on the wall in the couple's bedroom, they had nothing from any aliens. By now, the two didn't really think about the aliens, except for the occasional thought that Morado and the others were still alive.

Even the news didn't really talk about aliens too much. Except for the theories of them in Mexico, and where the retreating Solaris soldiers went, there was nothing about them.

"I love Maid Romance..." Isabella said.

"It feels so slow... come on..." Danial sighed as he rubbed Isabella harder.

"Just wait! It'll be worth it! I think."

In the computer screen, a man walked in the halls of a large mansion shining in the bright sunlight. As he opened the door to his room, he saw his maid making his bed like usual. When she noticed him, she smiled.

"Welcome back, master. You've been quick." The maid smiled.

"Get outta here. I need to be alone." The man took off his fancy coat and laid on the bed.

"Master, do you really want me gone?" The maid asked as she put her cleaning tools into a cart.

"Yeah. Just had a fight against my parents..."

"Stupid disobedient slug!" An older man yelled as he stormed into the room.

"Father, why can't I go do my own things? Live how I want to live!?"

"You idiot, one more failed class and I'll send you to the streets!"

"Yeah, try to!"

Before the father could do anything, the screen froze, and a loud EAS alarm blared. The screen was replaced with a blue screen and a single set of bold, red words in the middle, which said, "Emergency Alert System. ATTENTION! EACT INVASION. Stay calm. Hide and survive. Do not engage enemy forces."

"Holy shit!" Danial jumped up, holding Isabella's hand as he ran.

"World War Three already!?" Isabella whimpered.

"Let's get outside!"

"To the car?"

"Yes! We need to go to a rural area, so we won't be killed! Maybe we'll get some of our stuff in case things aren't available!"

"Sounds like a good idea!"

The two ran into the garage and looked at their red SUV. Isabella opened the door, then got to the back, opening up the trunk. Danial got a large bundle of water bottles and tossed them into the trunk while Isabella ran and opened the garage door up. After Danial got some snacks into the trunk, the two got in, with Isabella driving.
