Ch.22 – Boot Camp

In the makeshift camp of the Aliens, Sgt. Matlaposne spotted some headlights in the distance that drove close to them. He stood up and used his rangefinder to get a better look at them. When he turned the night vision on with the rangefinder, he saw five vehicles driving off-road and up towards the aliens.

"Hey! Privates! Get up!" The Sergeant looked back.

"Hold it, Sergeant." Maj. Ilmorapi said, putting a hand on the Sergeant's shoulder. "They are here to transport us."

"Wait, you got them on our side?" The Sergeant asked.

The Major nodded and looked at the vehicles. "We are going to have a good time."

"Are we joining the Mexican Army?" Renis asked.

"Sort of." The Major said. "We're kind of forced to join so they would protect us from the US."

"Why though? What will they use us for?" Pesli wondered. "Test subjects?"

"Don't know. But whatever it is, it will be better than being hunted by America."

When the vehicles got by the camp, the aliens stood up, carrying their rifles. Inside, the three aliens who were undercover got out, along with some Mexican troops.

"Good to see you, Major." Pablo said, getting out of a black vehicle which had its headlights beaming at the aliens.

"Yes, nice to see you, too. So, we're joining you?"

"Just get yourselves in. We'll take care of the other stuff." Pablo said.

"Ok, everyone, get in!" The Major ordered. "You three." The major pointed at the three soldiers he sent out earlier. "Change!"

"Yes, sir!" Cpl. Mestoli nodded.

The aliens ran to the vehicles and hopped on, while the Mexican soldiers went to take care of their small camp. When all the aliens were ready, the vehicles drove off, leaving some Mexican soldiers behind.

"What did you do in the city?" Sgt. Matlaposne asked Morado as he sat inside a covered truck.

"Walked around and found the Mexicans." Morado said, holding on to the coke bottle. "It's a decent city."

"He must have trauma from going to that crappy city. I could see the poorness from our camp," Renis said in his own language.

"Ha. Must have had a breakdown inside the city. Retarded Rappis." Pesli replied.

"Or he's too dumb to realize."

The vehicles drove out and got on the road. Instead of a short trip, it took ten hours of driving on a highway before the convoy stopped. The Aliens were sick of being inside a truck, and they got out of it expecting to see something that would be worth their time. They looked around and saw a red building in front of them. Above, they saw a passenger jet fly overhead.

"Welcome guys." A military officer said, approaching the aliens, who formed in the sun. "Base Aerea Militar Number 18. BAM18."

"Well, ok then." Maj. Ilmorapi said, approaching the man. "So, what are we doing here?"

"Watch your tone, Major Ilmorapi." The officer said, pointing at his medal. "I'm a General. General Antonio Martinez."

"...Ok, General Martinez."

"Now, at attention!" The General raised his voice.

The aliens stood straight and looked forward. But the Major reluctantly put his back straight and looked at the General.
