Ch.4 – The Human

When the aliens revealed their presence in 2033, the public went wild. Theories were thrown around, and everyone wanted to meet them. However, if you try to talk to an alien soldier, they will ignore you completely, and trying to contact alien civilians was impossible without getting spotted and shot for trespassing. Aliens would never contact civilians until a certain date. October 5th, 2034, was when the aliens were to be open with all humans, not just the soldiers. And that date was just three days away.

At 6:43 PM, Isabella got to her home, taking her shoes off and putting her coat on the hanger. As she did, she put her bag on a small table, and she walked to the living room. But on the TV, there was news running.

"Izzy, look at this, look at that bullshit." Isabella's boyfriend, Danial, said, pointing at the TV.

"What is it, babe?" Isabella said, sitting by Danial and putting her blonde hair out of her face.

On the TV, a news network was playing. It was the Global Feed Network, short for GFN. Right on the screen was the aerial view of the broken Evergreen Point Floating Bridge, which had already sunk. As the camera closed out, there was a news reporter who stared at the camera, showing no emotion.

After a moment, he finally opened his mouth. "It's not just that bridge. The southern bridge also fell. Homer M. Hadley memorial bridge." The reporter said with a sigh as the camera switched to the other bridge, which was also destroyed, only having the bottom pillars still standing. "This may be worse than 9/11." The reporter said slowly.

"See that man? It's fucked. They say over a thousand may have been killed." Danial looked at Isabella.

"Who- who done this?" Isabella stuttered, looking at Danial in fear.

"They are still finding out. You know what? Let's just turn this shit off." Danial said, pressing the remote. "I bet those aliens just across Puget Sound had a play here. I mean... who else would do this!?"

"Babe... Don't take the blame on just those aliens! We don't even know them yet. Besides... most are just refugees!"

Just a couple seconds later, Danial's phone on the countertop nearby buzzed, and he turned around. "Oh... I hope you didn't die." Danial muttered as he stood up.

"Wait..." Isabella got out her phone.

She texted everything on her contacts like it was a party. Not even a minute later, a bunch of messages came up, but one from an unknown number seemed to disturb her. It was a new message from an unknown number. In it was a simple link.

"Hey... there's a link here..." Isabella said, going to her boyfriend and showing her phone. "Should I?"

"Ugh..." Danial rubbed his chin. "Yeah, it's just a google link, it can't hurt... hopefully."

As Isabella clicked on that link, a webpage was bought up, and a video auto played. Isabella jumped as she saw an alien. It was an Analopian Lizard wearing black clothes and some Flugias that were bleeding out and looked to be handcuffed.

"Analopia will be free!" The lizard yelled as he looked at the hostages. "This is a message. The US government will hear their real enemy. The Flugias' degenerates have no place in this universe. They have blown up the bridges. They will suffer."

The terrorist walked by the hostages, and the camera moved closer to them. When the camera was just a meter away, the lizard looked at the camera, and back at a hostage. That hostage wore distinct clothing that looked like a robe, which was orange and blue.
