Kerissa POV

"Kerissa!! What are you doing here? " Arin called me from behind.

I stopped walking and turned behind. She was alone standing there. Shirley wasn't with her.

"Oh hi? I... Um... didn't see you... here? " I said, more like a question.

"Are you feeling not well? " she asked coming towards me.

"No, I'm doing good. Why? " I asked her.

"You don't sound fine, that's why "

"No, I... Umm... just.... didn't expect to see you...here "

"Are you hiding something? " she asked raising an eyebrow.

"Why would I hide something? "

"Because you sound like it "

"Uh.. no I don't. Will you head home now? " I asked her maybe she'll go somewhere since I heard them talking.

"Why? Do you not want me to come home? "

"No no no, I was just asking since "

"Since what? "

"Oh it's nothing. Now let's go home "

"Give me a bag, I'll carry one " she said taking one grocery bag from me.

"What are you doing buying groceries? " she asked me since I barely go grocery shopping.

"There were no vegetables at home when I was about to cook, so I decided to head to the supermarket to buy some things "

"You were going to cook? Is someone coming over? "

"No, since you were late, I decided to make dinner and I was bored "

So we talked and went home. After cooking dinner, we ate and headed to our rooms. I really wanted to ask her what she was doing with Shirley but decided not to.

I tried to study. My books were open, worksheets scattered on the table and whatnot. I realized that I couldn't focus on my studies, which was kind of strange. Even for myself. So around 10:20 pm I decided to end my session of having a staring contest with the books, I headed to bed.

For some stupid reasons, I couldn't enter my dream world. I just couldn't fall asleep. My eyes were wide awake. The reason being that stupid outbreak of my mouth. I may or may have not felt.... umm... guilty? But well it wasn't my fault she tried to bribe me with money. That time I was already annoyed because I couldn't practice basketball and working with her was as if I was working with a child . Well at least a child would still listen to you.

I really wanted to apologize, but that would mean as if I'm ready to lower my pride. Well hell 'Nuh uh'. I'd rather eat Arins bitter gourd dish than apologizing to her. But then I'd keep on feeling guilty.

"I'll just tell Arin to apologize to her instead of me " I murmured to myself smiling as if I just thought of something big and great.

"My dear Bad Buddy here I come!! " I yelled exitedly since the walls are sound proof. I decided to watch the latest episode of the drama.

It was 11:32 pm when I kept my phone. After watching and squealing for the cute scenes, I became thirsty and really wanted to pee.

So I got out of bed and was opening the door when I saw Arins back facing my direction. My room was like diagonal to the kitchen. I noticed she was talking to someone on the call.

"Hmm don't worryyy, I'll be back soon ~"
"Nah of course we will, you think too much "

She was actually talking to someone, whom I can surely say was not one of her family members. She never talks to anyone that soft and umm.. sweetly I guess. Not even with me.
