It was almost 8 pm when Kerissa came back home. After helping in Naomi's bakery, Naomi had treated both her and Shirley dinner.

As she was resting in the couch, she got a call. It was from Arin.

"Hey, what's up? "

"I was wondering if you could do me a favor "

"Sure why not "

"But... well... I don't think so you'll like to do it "

"Just tell me "

Well there's..... Ummm anyways just leave it "

"Do you know how annoying you are when you're like this!? " this was a habit of Arin. She'll start to tell something then she'll stop halfway and change the topic and leave Kerissa in her very curious mind.

"Well can't help it.. But you sure you'll do it? "

"Yes yes yes even though I'll say no I'll still do it! "

"Go to my room "

"Like right now? "

"Yes"

Kerisssa stood up and headed to Arins room.

"Okay now what? "

"Theres a drawer near the window, do you see it? "

"Of course I do "

"So in the top drawer  there's a jersey of blue colour inside "

"The neatly folded one right? "

"Yeah, so can you like give it to her? "

"Give it to who? "

So Kerissa took out the jersey and checked it.

"Wait wait wait, don't tell me it's the football teams jersey? "

"Yes it is "

"Why do you have it though ?"

"That doesn't matter but can you please give it back to Tessa? "

"Sure why not "

"Thanks very much, lob youuuu "

"I guess welcome? "

"Anyways, how was your day? "

"It was fun actually "

"How was dinner outside then? "

"How do you know ?"

"I have my ways "

So both of them talked in the phone spilling teas, chatting, laughing until it was bed time.

Time skip

It was 9 in the morning, when Kerissa woke up. She checked the time and completely freaked out. She had tutoring lesson at 9:15 in the morning and she only had 15 minutes to go. On top of that, she had 20+ missed calls from her other 4 friends.

Kerissa POV

"Wait, weren't we supposed to have a sleepover on Saturday?!" I completely forgot about the sleepover at Grace's.

"Whoops, guess I got too caught up with dinner "

So I hurriedly got out of bed and went to the washroom. After changing, I quickly ran out of the apartment, of course not forgetting to lock it. Since it wasn't that far, I reached completely on time. Well I didn't wanted to waste more money on renting some room nor liking the idea of home tutoring, I just tutor every Wednesday, since I have morning classes and no basketball practice and on Sunday's.

I wasn't a girl who takes time dressing up and shit, so it doesn't take me that much time. I still remember when I was in highschool, I once forgot we had tuitions until Arin called me if I was coming or not. I checked the time and to not my surprise, I only had 6 minutes to go until 9. So I quickly changed and ran out of my house. And it took me 12 minutes overall. And since I reached there before our tutor came, the first thing Arin asked me was if I brushed my teeth.

So anyways, I reached the tutoring place on time. And this time I'm the tutor, not the student. Since I'm pretty good at math, I tutor some highschool students, which pays me a good sum of money which I use to spend on video games or buying albums.

"Didn't you sleep enough? " one of the kid, Derek that I tutor questioned looking at my somewhat messy appearance.

"That doesn't matter, you all don't know all the sacrifices I make to tutor you all! " I said dramatically which earned me some eye rolls.

"Sure sure sure " Ianna said mockingly.

"Okay let's get this started " I said taking out my whatever I need.

After 1½ hours, tutoring lessons were finally done. I suddenly heard my stomach grumble.

"Didn't you eat anything before coming? " Ianna asked as she packed her bags.

"I woke up late " I answered, also packing my things. The others were leaving while Ianna stayed still.

"Bye Kerissa " Derek waved me goodbye.

"Bye " I smiled.

"Aren't you leaving? " I asked her.

"Uh.. I'll just stay here for some time..... " she sounded hesitant while answering. I raised an eyebrow at her words.

"If you say so " I was ready to leave but her eyes looked like she didn't wanted me to.

"Do you wanna tag along with me? " I asked, not wanting to leave her behind. Her eyes glistened like a 5 year old kid who just got a candy.

"Where to? " she asked.

"Let's just go "

So we both left the library and headed to the nearby Cafe since I didn't had breakfast. We sat down at the free table and I looked at what to order.

"Did you had breakfast? " I asked while she shook her head.

"You didn't! "I gasped.

"Nope " she answered with a popped sound.

"And here you are asking why I didn't had breakfast, unbelievable! "

She just kept quite and looked at the menu.

"Are you paying? " she asked still looking at the menu.

"Then who do you think is gonna pay? My foot? "I asked sarcastically.

"Geez, you're so dramatic over a question " she rolled her eyes at me.

I ordered coffee and blueberry pancakes whole Ianna ordered bacon, scrambled eggs with buttered toast.

"No coffee or tea? " I asked.

"None, that's enough. Thanks "

"That's very polite " I praised smiling at her. She looked happy.

"By the way, do you have a boyfriend? " this question suddenly came out but I was curious indeed.

"Eww no! Why do you think I have? " she asked with a disgusted face.

"Just asking since I thought, you thought of staying back to meet someone " I answered truthfully.

"Nah, just some family problems " she said which dugged more curiosity.

"What do you mean? Anything troubling you? " I asked worriedly.

"Nah, just that home doesn't feel like home anymore... " she answered sadly but brushed off with a smile, "But don't worry, I'm fine "

"You sure? " I asked calmly.

"100% sure " she smiled sweetly.

"You better be, or else you're getting your ass kicked by me " I warned jokingly  somehow. And then our orders came. She ate like she didn't eat like she did for the whole night or something. Just then someone spoke......

"Wow wow wow, if it's not the girl who ditched us "
