CHAPTER 9

The rest of the school day you spent pondering about why you keep feeling this fuzzy sensation in your chest. In your head, you tried reassuring yourself that it was nothing — and you had a gut feeling it was, well, in a sense that it's nothing major. Yet it still bothered your curious self.

Where did it come from? Why was it there? It bothered you a lot, therefore you decided to try and take note of anything noteworthy anytime you felt such a way. Maybe pin point some details to help you figure out the cause. And that's what you decided to go with, since you had no idea how else to tackle such a problem.

You were also questioning what you would do when you found the reason. Well, that will reveal itself since it can be anything... But what if it was literally nothing? What if Rui was right about it just being your nerves?

So many questions ran through your head at the moment, with not too many answers. However, you tried to just focus on the present moment... and that was the end of the school day.

As you were gathering up your things in the classroom, you heard Rui and Nene talking outside the hall way. It was muffled though, and it had you wondering if it was relating to you and Rui working on the project. It was most likely was.

When you approached the door, about to leave, you heard a bit more of their conversation, somehow neither Nene or Rui noticing you — Perhaps too focused on their conversation.

"Kind of coincidental you and Tsukasa's twin sibling were paired together. In fact, I'm just as surprised your teacher didn't pair you with Tsukasa... Probably was worried about the things you both would plan though." Nene mumbled.

"Eh~? How rude, Nene..." Rui pouted. "On a serious note though, I do find it coincidental as well, but I ain't complaining. They're not a bad person, and they kind of remind me of you, Nene."

"Based on every encounter I had with them," Nene said, "I.. kind of understand why you'd think that. I don't know how they're siblings with Tsukasa though. Let alone twins, considering how opposite their personalities are."

Rui chuckled. "Well, you're not wrong. However that's not a terrible thing."

"It is for them." Nene mumbled jokingly as you stepped outside of the classroom, sliding the door open.

Nene stared at you. "O-Oh, speak of the Devil." Your cheeks flush a little, a little flustered but ignore the comment.

"Erm, were I interrupting you two?" You ask. Nene shook her head.

"No," she mumbled, "surprised you didn't get that hint when you were waiting by the door. I thought you could hear us." Nene said bluntly, making you blush more out of embarrassment.

"I- I was just thinking to myself while waiting..." You mumbled, although you weren't doing that.

Rui chuckled seeing your flustered expression. "Nene can be a little mean and blunt sometimes~" He teased.

Nene turned to Rui. "Excuse me?" "Fufu, just kidding. Well, about the mean part at least."

You watched as Nene glared at Rui, trying to hold back your laughter. "Well, anyway [Y/N]," Rui began, "I was just talking to Nene about the project with you.. I was gonna walk with you to your place but realized how I'd just have to leave and come back for the supplies..."

Lowering your head for a moment, you pause nervously at a thought that crossed your mind but realized you should probably try suggesting it at least because it'd be easier for the two of you. "W-Well, I could walk with you and Nene, and come to y-your place if that's fine..? Pretty sure Tsukasa would let me... I would have to ask him though."
