"Mum." I stuttered, looking at the white ghostly figure.
"Lyla, what have you done!" I heard Mattheo screaming over me.
"Why are you doing this, my darling daughter." The woman stated.
"I needed to speak to you and Cedric." I pointed to the boy next to her.
"This is dark magic. What would you dad say, and how did you learn all this." She stated.
"I'm sorry. But I've never known you and just seeing you." I sobbed.
"Everything happens for a reason, darling. I died knowing I was helping a cause and trying to keep you safe." She stated.
"But Cedric didn't deserve to die!" I stated.
"Everything happens for a reason, and you shouldn't mess with the afterlife you have now opened up something much more." My mum sighed.
"I'm sorry." I sobbed.
My mum sighed."I may not agree with your choices, but I will always love you, Lyla," Marlene said, her voice filled with emotion. "You are my daughter, and I will always be proud of you."
I smiled at the ghostly figure. Suddenly, she stepped back. "Someone wants to talk to you." She smiled.
I looked over, and Cedric had stepped forward, his presence a comforting one for me.
I couldn't help but try and reach out to him, hoping to feel that warmth of his touch, but my hand went straight through him.
"I miss you, Cedric," I whispered, tears welling up in my eyes.
"I miss you too, Lyla," Cedric replied, his eyes filled with emotional.
