Lyla spent many days in her bed at Nott Mannor. Her tears streamed down her face as she kept replaying the events of that fateful night in her mind. Mattheo Riddle, the love of her life, had finished her with cold indifference and walked out without a second glance. The pain in her chest was unbearable, like a thousand knives stabbing at her heart.

She felt alone in the world, abandoned by the one person she thought would never leave her. But guess what he did.  The weight of her sadness was suffocating, dragging her down into a pit of depression She couldn't imagine a life without Mattheo without his laughter, his touch, his love.

The depression crept in like a shadow, enveloping Lyla in its cold embrace. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of sorrow, unable to find a way out. The thought of ending it all crossed her mind more than once, the pain of living without Mattheo too much to bear. The number of times she found herself with sharp objects to her wrists was more than she could count. But something in the back of her mind always stopped her.

But going back to school was approaching a lot quicker for her liking. She found herself standing in the bathroom, a razor blade in her hand.

Hovering other her bare arms, she finally snapped. She wished she had died when Greyback attacked her. Her scars were ugly no wonder Mattheo got rid of her. She pressed the razor blade into her bare arms, the red pouring down her arms quickly. She liked this pain it was numbing her heart ache.

She cut deeper and deeper, unable to stop herself. The pain was a welcome distraction from the turmoil inside her mind. She sobbed uncontrollably as the blood continued to flow, staining the white tiles of the bathroom floor.

Suddenly, a loud bang echoed through the room, causing Lyla to startle. She heard Theo's voice on the other side of the door, panic evident in his tone.
