Chapter 43 The Last Smile

Ophelia couldn't believe what she was sensing now. She could feel the enormous amount of negative aura flowing through her. The former goddess tuned out the aura while facing Masamune.

"My dear, dear products... it's time for a game!" Masamune taunted them as he revived the 5 Bugsters. Alhambra, Salty, Gatton, Vernier and Kaiden.

Hiiro, Emu, Ophelia and Taiga are keeping the Bugsters occupied while allowing Nico to escape before she can turn into Bugsters.

"Nico, run! We'll keep them busy!" Ophelia yelled while shoving Kaiden away from her.

"Ophelia is right! Go now!" Taiga exclaimed while keeping Vernier occupied.

Nico glanced back and gasped at the scene in front of her. "Taiga! Neesan!"

Taiga turned around and saw the Bugsters were infecting more people. "This is— the infection is spreading...!" The unlicensed doctor exclaimed.

"The pandemic!?" Hiiro yelled in shock.

"We need to help everyone." Emu saw everything and heard a neighing sound from a horse. "A horse?" He muttered and glanced up.

"It's Zilar's pegasus!" Ophelia exclaimed relieved to see Zilar and Kanade join them. "Guys!"

"The situation is getting out of hand." Zilar explained once they landed on the ground his metallic pegasus disappeared. "The infection is increasing and we're outnumbered here."

"Your efforts will be in vain." Masamune warned them while Kanade and Zilar were surprised at his final form. "When one becomes a warrior of god, to be defeated will result in death." He reverts to his original form.

Parado, Poppy and Luna went to the hospital as they overheard his explanation. "No way...!" The female Bugster muttered in shock.

Luna frowned worriedly. "At this rate— he'll take over the world filled with Bugsters!" The female android bites her lower lip worriedly.

"I will pass judgment onto this world!" Masamune yelled as the Bugsters charged them.

They're hesitating to fight the Bugsters because they don't want to hurt them since they're human beings. Meanwhile, Parado, Poppy and Luna are observing their fight.

"We have no choice but to fight." Parado breaks his silence. "We need to save these lives."

Luna nodded. "All my life... I swore to protect Ophelia-sama because she's my creator but... she gave me the freedom to express myself. I'll fight alongside them."

Parado and Luna shared a look as they stepped forward to join in. "Wait!" Poppy called them while she gripped her arm nervously. "There is something only us Bugsters can do." She referred herself and Parado.

"What do you mean, Poppy?" Luna couldn't help but ask with a hint of worry.

"Luna, can you still heal like Ophie-chan?" She asked her out of the blue.

"Yeah, why?" Luna realized her intention of asking the question.

Kuroto was annoyed that Sakura was watching over him as he tried to escape from her sight. The reincarnation priestess refused to let him go alone and she joined him facing the Bugsters. Sakura can still fight but isn't as strong as before and uses enough strength to conjure her abilities. "You better behave yourself with this Kuroto." She warned the former CEO with a stern voice. "Zilar let you off the hook because of the situation we're dealing with right now."

"Yet you followed me all the way here." He retorted back in an icy tone. "You're not even a Knight or Symphogear."

Sakura pursed her lips in annoyance. "I'm not but at least I can fight." She assured him.
