I yawned and rubbed my eyes, slamming my hand on my alarm clock that rang loudly, indicating that she ignored it for a while.
Clearly, I was late to class.
I slipped my robes on and grabbed my school bag, and disappeared.
I was a student at Magic, which was a school for magicians. We learned to cast spell and brew potions, fly on a broom and some other things.
I usually wasn't late to class, but I was hanging out with my best friends, Samantha, Alica, Catherine, Angelina and Lunar.
They probably didn't think to check my bunk, because I was a early riser.
I arrived a t potions class, nearly tripping as I took a seat at my station.
'Katie?' said my professor, confused. Like I said, I was a morning person.
'I thought you weren't coming. Obviously you shouldn't sleep in, but since it's your first time actually late, you get a pass' said Professor Elina.
'Bout time you got here, Katie.' said Samantha.
' Grab your potions book. We're brewing a speed potion.' said Samantha.
I flipped my potions book to where we left off, and scanned the page.
We attended Magic for half a year already, but we hadn't really gotten to brew potions except for a group project a little over a month ago, and a couple of times that usually happened every two days.
My eyes slightly watered from the dragonfire smoke, and I grabbed my bag, searching for the ingredients I needed.
I bit my lip, reminding myself to restock at the potions shop. I ground some rubies as base for the potion, and added some hyperspeal petals, which would make you energized.
I thought for a moment, and shook some feathers into the potion.
It would, assuming I was correct, turn the person lightweight. I tossed in a handful of timesliver, which were marked with the number ten, indicating it would last for ten minutes.
I added some sort of thick, milky liquid and upended my magic dust pouch into my potion, letting the dust sprinkle out.
I pulled it back and peered inside. There was barely any left.
I stirred my potion with a long white crystal spoon, which was great for blocking any sort of discharge from the potion.
After ten minutes of stirring, I pulled the spoon up.
The potion was a glossy milk colour, which meant it was done, and I did the potion right.
I used a fat tube that magically sucked up the potion to transfer it to the vial, and corked it.
Alica, who was next to me, groaned. Her potion was a fiery red with actual flames.
'I accidentally dropped a pouch of fireflames into it.
'That is really expensive.' I said sympathetically.
Fireflames were really rare, and a pouch would cost around four to five clouds, or about fifty coins.
It was ten coins to a cloud, and in comparison, one cloud could buy like thirty cups of coffee.
We all had student charms, which were basically credit cards that had a hundred clouds for us to spend. Yearly.
It wasn't much, but it was enough for us to spend it freely.
After inspecting our potions, Professor Elina released us.
