As we turned to leave Magic, I realized I had absolutely no idea how in the world I was going to find the thief.

So I guessed that my only option was for them to go to the hole to the overworld.

So I teleported us to the starting point.

In front of us were a massive solid wall of duct tape.

'Seriously?' I grumbled as Angelina used her magic to melt away the thick layers.

'Who thought duct tape of everything would be good at preventing magicians from access?' asked Cathrine as she sent blasts of magic at the wall.

Samamtha and I just stood there, waiting for them to be dome with it.

Just then Samantha pulled out her wand. Confusion appeared on my face but then she explained 'We can use our wands. I know we don't know much but we just learned the destruction spell like three days ago or something'

I nodded and shot the spell at the wall and a big patch disappeared.

We were able to break free at last, and pushed through.

I stared at the jagged outcroppings that protruded from the walls of solid stone.

'I think that the dissenters have either more courage than I thought, or that they were completely insane.' I squeaked out.

Samamtha took the first step and I screamed. I know I was overdramatic but this is my friend too!

We all followed in single file, not daring to speak.

I at one point glanced down and nearly fell off. What the heck. We were thousands of feet above the ground and still climbing.

I looked in front. There was a iron platform that was huge enough for a hundred to stand on.

I spotted shackles and broken wands.

'We are the only ones here since the first war of magic' I said.

'True' said Samantha and shoved her hands in her pockets.

'Sooo' Angelina said after an uncomfortable amount of time: 'Is there likewise anything here?' she asked.

We began scouring the place for anything useful and half an hour later, felt a chilly presence in the air.

Another fifteen minutes went by and Cathrine found a note.

'It reads: Help' she whispered, her face ashen white. As soon as I saw why, my jaw slacked.

'It's written in blood.' I said.

There was definitely a chill in the air, more like a presence.

I backed away and ripped the note out of Cathrine's hand.

I threw it over the ledge. 'Why did you do that?' Lunar protested.

'I-I don't know.' I stuttered. ' I just know we have to go. Now' I said, regaining some of my confidence.

My friends obliged, and turned towards the stairs. But then it melted away.

'Not so fast' chuckled a ghostly presence.

We backed away in fear. This was a real ghost, and one that was unfortunately very solid- looking.

I immediately started looking for ways to escape. They advanced and one of them shot a binding spell at us.

We ducked, and was fortunate that the ghost had terrible aim.

I reached out my vamp magic and felt a ghostly gray energy that pulsed with wrongness.

I sucked my magic back, then shot a disarming spell at them experimentally.

It struck dead on, and Angelina took advantage of thier surprise to blind them with light and they crumbled when contacted with light.

Samantha couldn't control the remnants of the magicians, so she shot spells at them with deadly accuracy.

Catherine took down dozens with her icicles, and Lunar sprayed fire at them to finish them off.

We quickly tied a rope around us loosely to prevent us falling.

Angelina casted a spell on the structure and watched it become bathed in a gold light.

We knew that the ghosts there were to be forgotten, a scandal that never happened.

Suddenly, most likely caused by the fall of the platform, the ledge crumbled under our feet.

I could hear Samantha's screams but eventually she got her wits together and teleported to the floor.

Alica dropped down and caught herself on a ledge and pulled herself up.

With a shaky hand, Angelina handed her broom to Cathrine and Cathrine soared down to the ledge.

Angelina was able to light stream down too, and I grasped the rope and teleported.

Coincidentally, our least powerful abilities were the ones that saved us.

When I checked everyone's magic and energy I found that Angelina was slightly shaky and a bit dull, which meant she must've done it wrong or overdone it.

'I can bring Samantha up' Angelina offered.

'No way' I said. 'Your already faded'. I added.

I teleported down to Samamtha and grabbed her and teleported to the ledge.

Samantha sighed when we got there. 'I think you should just bring all of us down.' she said.

'Why?'I asked. 'Because we aren't getting closer to the Wand by sitting around moping.' said Samantha.

We moved down to the floor and I was exhausted.

Lunar had to ise a energy remedy on me which was one of the most awful thing I ever tasted.

She wanted to use a healing slave on me too, but I declined. My day was absolutely terrible already without Lunar's disgusting but luckily successful remedies.

I was lightheaded and had a sickeningly sweet taste in my mouth.

I tried to fight through my hazy vision without success.

I recognized the sweet scent now.

It was a sedative.
