I never was good at paying attention, this was a first for me.

I didn't remember anything from today. I sat on my bed, trying to do my homework.

I scanned the text, trying to find what I was looking for.

I heard the door open and Samantha walked in.

'Wow. You too?' she said. Samantha was very smart, and she never got below a A.

Samantha showed me the paper in her hand.

'I had a astronomy test today.' she laughed hollowly.

My mouth fell open in shock. A B? That never happened. Not ever.

'I know' said Samantha. 'We really need a break.' she said.

I nodded. I tapped my wand to the blank paper, and the wand linked with my mind, writing words on the paper magically.

It was Monday, and we were already falling behind. Professors send homework via a magic screen on the wall, listing homework, some announcements and other things.

Our professors usually give around three to four every lesson, so we had to stay sharp and foucused.

I had like ten homework assingments left, and I didn't even go to night classes yet.

I checked off the beastolgy assignment and began working on runes.

I scanned the text with the pen, and noted down the meanings. I quickly finished that and moved on to the next one, studying and reciting the ancient scripts, and explaining what alphabet was from which city.

I already knew a few: Dreamlite, Darkstar, Torque and Listal. I memorized the one from Moonlight and check that one off too.

I decided to head off to dinner and hurriedly finished off a bowl of pasta, and brought along a tall glass of oair, which was orange air.

Don't laugh. It's as good as the real thing.

I went back to work, managing to finish all but my beastolgy homework and crafting homework.

I could finish crafting before heading to Sunlight, and beastolgy was easy enough.

I packed up my stuff and stuffed them inside my bottomless bag and headed to teleportation class.

I teleported there, as I was very nearly late, and grabbed my pendant.

My pendant helps me to concentrate, and to act as a second reserve. I had to train my pendant daily, as it is one of the obstacles to get into Dream.

Every student have a talent, as omce you passed the half year goal you could go for a scan. The scanner would activate your talent based on your magic style, magic colour, hobby, appearance, and some other.

Then, you are gifted with a pendant, and you have to get it to level twenty or higher. You had to train with your pendant, and it was very difficult to use.

But eventually you'll get the hang of it. My sister passed that part with flying colours. I found it hard to control the magic from the pendant, but Lunar easily can do it.

I set up my pendant and synced it to my magic.

The pendant was magic, and the more you trained it, the more intuitive it became, and the more magic it could reserve.

However, all students had magic pendants, but some choose to store thier magic in different types of magical vessels.

There were bracelets, of course, and keychains. But I liked the shimmering purple pendant, and I was more familiar with the workings of a pendant.
