-Avery Hanlin-
She was meeting with someone, post whatever happened at the party. She would have to meet Celine at the party though. The bomb fire was approaching. ..not like she was awake enough to.
When she turned the corner of the slightly darker corner, Harriet.
Alive...shaking... practically dead and still standing.
But she stayed calm.
"I got your email, you okay? I didn't see you leave." Their expression was odd.
"Can I have your coat? I'm cold." They sounded very ill. There mannerisms weren't normal.
At the party they had been fine.
She had lost her other. "Sure." It nearly drowned them.
"In all seriousness are you okay? Angelo was asking about you. No one saw you leave." They were seemed to be trying to avoid that fact.
They weren't looking at her. "Avery you can't tell anyone I'm alive."
She wasn't going to. This wasn't even going to be a Celine thing either.
"I would never, what happened."
She knew but that isn't the point. More s keep your enemy's closer sitch.
They leaned against the wall. "I don't remember enough of the night. I remember pain at some point but it.. .gets blurry after that."
"You look horrible, do not even have a slight memory, who would do that to you." Harriet hugged her.
Did they really not know...or were they fucking with her.
She couldn't tell.
"So your okay? ISH even?"
..
"Iv been weaker but normally I have a place to bounce back to after. I am legally dead or whatever." They finally let go.
They were either asking for help..or asking ..not asking for help. Either way she could do minimal to nothing.
"Harriet..You can stay at my old old place. I still have the rights to it." AGAIN she got a hug.
Much stronger. "Thanks I'll repay you..sometime. I just need.. IL figure it out." She had a horrid headache. Just at that moment.
They disappeared into the alleyway.
-2009- The present
-Yvonne Bruce Meade-
She had been visiting Avery for a consecutive week. A mix of worse and better.
Also she was being verbally harassed they were on some drug to calm them but it was doing the far opposite.
Celine wasn't spared but repelled it back. Mostly was only just happy they were alive.
"I will be out soon I have to do exams. And I have a quarter of a term." ....
She wasn't ...too..optimistic.
Celine was sitting closer to them. But she found to keep a fair distance from them the majority of the time. "They have to like figure it out their doctors i can't do the rest of the year without you."
"Celine your attachment issues are obsolete." They turned to her very sharply.
"Your attachment issues are critical to the band failing." They tossed their hair briefly. Didnt help her esteem though.
Avery in this time got busy looking at a magazine. With an odd expression of nothingness. "My band failing was Natasha's fault. She murdered people. And Ryan just went missing. Not my fault."
They didn't seem to listen to that. "You wanted that thing to fail no one liked you. Even remotely." In this moment Avery suddenly remembered there was a whole other conversation.
"I never listened to those prerelease tapes Natasha sent me. Gave me an earache" That was said completely out of nowhere. It almost shut down the possible argument.
While Celine laughed near silently it was the first she had been looked at.
Celine didn't savour the good mood. "I stole an album from a store once. A charity store. It was your second one. Liked the track Pistel Shock."
They KNEW that was the other groups second album.
"Ce that was the Renegades. Honestly though they had better reception at debut. Second one sucked, Sara made it slightly better." ..she wasnt too happy.
Sara to her repressed memory did the whole guitar stuff that basically she did on Rebon Highs.
"That's not the point I have other concerns at the moment. Argue about band stuff at the dorms." Avery's flat tone bothered her a little. Maybe they just didn't normally sound so monotone... There was an edge of annoyance to it though.
It went silent and they looked at some magazines again. For a few minutes it was almost calm in the room.
..
"I think I saw Harriet like the other day."
Celine stopped in their tracks, she was minutely concerned.
"Harriet died Avery." The tone didnt help them.
Avery sat up abruptly and turned to her. "HEY i know I'm on drugs like constantly but I have a clear memory and..generally fine sight. I recognised their voice." They did have a distinct voice, you couldn't confuse it for Liana or Natasha's.
"I think you have had too many meds." Skylar was peeping into the room. Just had noticed. They may have heard the conversation.
Their look was more concern than anything else. Skylar sat at another seat nearby. "I just hadnt visited in nearly four days and I had some time from planning the gala in a months time." Their bag did look heavy.
"How are you two exactly helping. I slightly understand now because Celines missed most meetings but you need to have some input or you won't be able to help at all. Not attend casually.". Skylar rechecked their bag for a moment. "IV marked you present
but it won't work forever."Celine continued to either look concerned or slightly bothered about Skylar's many comments. "Are you okay though Avery? There's a mix of positive and negative from what I can tell."
Avery didn't answer for a moment. "I would say I ....I can't entirely say. I don't truly know."
.... ..
That felt unusual. Not as self assured as usual.
"I hope you are okay. Anyways i have to go, very busy." Skylar left as soon as they appeared.
Had some impact though.
..
She left shortly after because it was getting semi late to a lecture.
