Chapter 20 - Chamomile

Dayeol watched taehyun preparing a cup of tea for both. He smiled when he heard taehyun humming. They had decided to have a cup of tea instead of dessert. Taehyun picked a small box in the grocery bag from what he had brought earlier from the supermarket. He opened the box and put the tea bag in the cup and poured the hot water into the cup. Dayeol full attention was on taehyun. He noticed that taehyun's hair has grown a bit. The hair strands in the front kept falling into his face. He chuckled seeing taehyun struggling with it. It's like every day he sees him he just becomes extra handsome just like when he saw him cooking earlier. He really missed him so much.

The green tea was ready. Taehyun placed both of their cups on the coffee table and sat next to dayeol on the couch. The tea was still too warm to drink. While the tea was still undrinkable both decided to watch a movie. However, picking the movie was the hardest part.

While dayeol was being serious trying to pick a movie, taehyun was busy annoying dayeol. He kept picking the craziest movies to watch. The thing is dayeol would have picked any movie he would like to watch but every movie taehyun had picked so far was problem and dayeol had problem with it.

The genre was the problem.

There were number of genres in movies and normally dayeol is okay with other genres but if he had to rank them. Horror was one of his least favorites. There were people who knew about him being a fussy eater but not this. It was something no one knew about dayeol.

Dayeol has always gotten away when ya beom and sa yeong wanted to watch a horror movie with him or when his friends from the police academy plan to watch horror movie during breaks. He was very subtle with his reaction but somehow the man who was sitting right next to him had found out.

It happened while they had stayed another week on the Jeju Island. While taehyun needed the must needed rest to recover. He insisted on going out, that ended up becoming dates and when they were at the villa resting, they watched movies. But this is where it all went wrong dayeol had not known taehyun had picked a horror movie. While they were watching the movie dayeol flinched on the first jump care and almost dropped the snacks they had brought. Taehyun had teased him since because of it. It was a secret that only he knew about dayeol.

After almost scares taehyun gave dayeol by almost pressing play to a horror movie they finally picked a movie they both liked. It was an action movie. When the movie started playing dayeol lightly touched his cup to check the temperature. The tea was ready. Delightfully dayeol picked up the cup and took a sip. After taking a sip, dayeol took another and another sip. It was different. Something he had not tasted before. Dayeol knew there were types of tea, but he wondered whether he was having green tea. It was sweet but it was also mild. The tea tasted silky but also fresh and floral, with a crisp apple flavor.

"This is different from what I have ever tried?"

"What is it?"

"Chamomile tea"

"Chamomile?"

"It's a flower"

"I like it."

Taehyun smiled widely after hearing what dayeol said. Hearing those words really made him happy.

Earlier when he was in the supermarket, he was specially looking for a type of tea that would help dayeol. He knew he had been busy in the police station, stressed and sleep deprived. He wanted him to get a good night's sleep. Incase if he liked it, he brought four boxes of it. Taehyun was nervous. He wasn't sure whether dayeol would like it but thankfully he was glad he liked it.
