Chapter 19 - Home cooked food

In the darkness a bright light lit up the sky. The tall tower in the small village was doing its job at night to help guide the ships at night. And from the lighthouse people can be seen walking back to their colorful houses after long day at work. Tourist that had come to take pictures of the villages has already gotten on their respective buses to go back to the hotel. The lights in the small shops were turned off one by one.

Along the people who are walking back to their houses. One man was holding heavy grocery bags in his arms excitedly walking towards dayeol's house. The grocery items were kept on the dining table making sure no noise was made. The man slowly started cooking something fancy in the kitchen with grocery items he brought, while dayeol was fast asleep on the bed tired from his hectic days at work. Finally getting the rest he needed after long time.

Just like that the time passed by and it was already pass eight. A pleasant smell started travelling inside dayeol's house. Even if the dayeol's room was closed the smell somehow got in the room. It made dayeol toss and turn somehow waking dayeol up. He looked around. It was dark. He switched on the lights.

Taehyun was nowhere to be seen. The pleasant smell hit his nose. He sniffed the air. It smelled nice.

"Aroma of home cooked food" he thought.

Feeling overly excited and very hungry he got up hurriedly running to open the door. But then he stopped. For sure he thought at first it could be his father who is cooking but then it's just him and pause...

Dayeol had the biggest grin in his face. Feeling excited he opened the door but closed it. He looked down at the clothes he was wearing. Slowly he took few steps back from the door and stopped in front of the full-length mirror. Dayeol turned around to be astound by what he was seeing.

His hair was messy like a bird nest. The collar of his shirt was up and top of the shirt buttons were undone. More than anything he was still in the clothes he was since morning. If his captain saw him now, he knows he sure would get an earful. He sighed.

"I cannot go out looking like this."

He opened his wardrobe picked his best outfits he wore at home and laid them on the bed. Dayeol had to made sure he was dressing to impress but he did not want to show he was doing too much. He knows taehyun will tease him, so he decided on a grey hoodie pair with a black loose jogging pants. He placed the clothes on a chair and ran into bathroom quickly without wasting more time.

Dayeol came out looking fresh as ever. He really needed that shower. After drying his hair, he removed the sheets out of the bed and put a new set of sheets. He checked himself in the mirror again. He combed his hair. But there was something missing. He hesitated whether to go with it or not but went against it and took his lavender cologne and put it on his pulse points. After putting back the cologne in the cupboard. He stared at his reflection on the mirror. He awkwardly smiled to himself as if it helps give a confidence boost. But reality hit him. Dayeol jumped up and down wondering why he thought of wearing cologne at home. He couldn't help but cover his face with his hands. He just could not believe what he is doing.

"Taehyun might come into the room any minute now" he thought.

He did not have time to change or wash away the cologne. Finally stepping out of the room something caught him off-guard. A whiff of spiciness was in the air. It made him cough a bit, but it did not bother him. It smelled good. Sudden loud noises were coming from the kitchen. He slowly walked to the kitchen area thinking of scaring taehyun a bit. But he stopped, instead taehyun was the one who got scared. More than scared, more actually surprised.
