Sana's POV

"How was the party last night girls?" Mr. Chou asked us. We had all gathered together, me, Tzuyu, my mom and him, enjoying our breakfast.

"It was fun." Tzuyu said bluntly and shoved some pancakes in her mouth. I instantly understood she did that just so she wouldn't have to speak and simply chuckled.

"It was very nice, I loved all of Tzuyu's friends." I said, munching on my pancakes.

"Yeah, they liked you too." she added, her mouth full.

"Yah, don't talk with food in your mouth." I nudged her since she was sitting behind me. She shrugged at me and went back to eating.

"So, Yicheng's company is having a gala in two days. And we thought we could go all together, as a family." my mom said hesitantly. She knew that I wasn't sure if I was ready to make the Chous my family, but she didn't know I was ready to make Tzuyu something more than that.  I looked at the latter and she looked at me too. She flashed me a quick smile.

"Okay then, let's do it." I said, earning a surprised look from my mom.

"W-what? Sana, really?"

"Yeah. Plus, it would be boring if I just stayed alone with Tzuyu."

"You know it would not." Tzuyu whispered in my ear, making me flinch and throw my hand at her. It landed on her face.

"Ouch!"

"Sorry, sorry! Do you want some water? A tissue? No, maybe-"

I stopped when she took my hand under the table and stroked the back of it with her thumb. I looked at her discretely and she mouthed at me an 'I'm okay, chill.'.

"So girls, you need to find something nice to wear. How about you go shopping today? And maybe you can also call your friends Tzuyu and invite them to the gala." Mr. Chou added. Tzuyu and I looked at each other again, as if waiting for approval. This time, Tzuyu spoke.

"Okay dad, but I'm sure they have better things to do than watch Sana over here wear every dress there is in a shop."

"Yah!" I slapped her shoulder "I don't do that!"

"Not yet. Wait till you see the shops dad wants us to go to. They have some pretty sick dresses actually."

"It's for you girls, so that you can have the best." Mr. Chou said with a smile.

"Okay, we'll be leaving in a while. Also, dad we'll um... we'll be taking the bike, I'm kind of in a hurry so I'll probably just tell them to deliver anything we buy here." Tzuyu said, looking away when she mentioned the bike. Of course and she hadn't told her dad she lost the car in a stupid bet which, technically, we won.

"Shops actually do that? They deliver things at your house?"

"Well, for us they do it. Especially the ones we visit often. They can't afford to lose such good customers." Tzuyu said and got up. "I'll go get changed and call Momo and Dahyun to meet us at the mall. Tell me when you're ready so we can leave." she added turning to me.

"Okay."

------

"So you're inviting us to one of those boring galas again? I thought you never go to these!"

"I know Dubu and, if I could help it, I wouldn't go. It's just that my dad wants us to display the image of a family."

Momo, Dahyun, Tzuyu and I were at the mall, shopping for dresses, supposedly. We were just walking around and looking at shop windows. Tzuyu and I hadn't told Momo and Dahyun anything about last night and, for some more time, we weren't planning to.
