Sana's POV
"Easy. To avenge you and your mother."
"To what!?"
Kenzo chuckled again and pulled a chair and sat closer to me. "I was successful without you. For a while, I was successful with you too. But nothing good lasts forever, does it?"
I'm not sure if he wanted an answer. Nothing good lasts forever. He was right but I wasn't going to tell him that. I wasn't going to give him that sort of satisfaction.
"I'll take that as a yes." he continued "I suppose you remember your 15th birthday party?"
Of course I did. It was the best birthday party ever. We went to a go-kart track with my friends and our parents sat at the coffee shop while we raced each other around, me winning all the races. Normally, I would have smiled at the memory. I did not.
"Yeah."
"That party ruined everything. The same day as the party was a big race for me. I had agreed with your mother that I'd go to the race first and I'd pop up by the party later. And your goddamn of a mother ruined my race! Your goddamn of a mother put a fucking alarm in my watch which went off during my fucking race! I crashed that day and, if I hadn't, I would have broken the fucking world record! Do you understand how much money we are talking about Sana!? Do you understand how much money your fucking birthday party cost me!? DO YOU!?" he threw the knife on the wall next to me as he got up from the chair, making it fall on the ground.
Wow. Just wow. To think my dad was angry for something like that, money, would never cross my mind.

Tzuyu's POV
I told them everything. About our relationship, my messing around with gangs and illegal car races, how I lost my car in a bet and about the threats Sana would receive.
The next day, my dad decided to call the police. He asked for some of my close friends, Yoo Jeongyeon and Park Jihyo, since he knew their parents from some sort of fundraiser they did together. They arrived early in the morning with a group of other policemen, members of the cyber crime police and some people from special forces.
"Tzuyu, long time no see. What happened this time?" Jeongyeon came and patted my shoulder.
"You don't know?"
"No, your dad only told Jihyo. And she, being Jihyo, refuses to tell me." she said with a pout.
"You look like a duck." I commented and she laughed. Jihyo came to us as well, with a laptop in her hands.
"Mr. Chou and Mrs. Minatozaki, do you have any idea who took your daughter?" she asked. They both looked at each other.
"We believe it is a former prisoner. Someone who got released around a month ago." Sana's mom said.
"What the hell would a former prisoner want with Sana?" I asked in frustration. Jihyo signaled me to stay quiet.
"Because we're talking about Sana's dad. Kenzo Minatozaki, ex racecar driver, Formula 1 to be exact." Mrs. Minatozaki continued. Sana's dad. Something bad had happened with Sana's dad, I remember that, but I never found out what.
"What happened with Sana's dad?" Jeongyeon asked as she took out a small notebook.
"He was abusive. When Sana was 15, he became really aggressive and started hitting both me and her. Now, a few months before we moved in with you, he tried killing her with a knife. Fortunately, she lived with nothing more than a scar."
"Where did she hide when he came?" I asked, even though I was almost certain what the answer would be.
"In her closet."
